Westinghouse Repair

Cooker burner lighting, then going out as soon as you let go of the knob? Freezer freezing while the fridge below it is warm? The name on these appliances is usually White Westinghouse, and they did not all come from one factory or one generation. So diagnosis starts with the model label, and many faults have a simple cause before they reach an expensive part.

White Westinghouse: from an American company to Electrolux

household refrigerator — illustrative photo

The White Westinghouse name appeared in 1975, when the American company White Consolidated Industries bought Westinghouse's major appliance business. In 1986 Sweden's Electrolux bought White Consolidated, whose brands included Frigidaire, Kelvinator and this one. In Egypt, Electrolux took over Olympic Group in September 2011, and in August 2015 it opened a plant 50 km north-west of Cairo making freestanding cookers under the Zanussi, Electrolux, Frigidaire and White Westinghouse names for Egypt and the Middle East. In 2021 the company named its brands in Egypt as Zanussi, Olympic and Ideal; this brand is rarely on sale in Egypt now, so this page is for owners of appliances already in their homes.

The rating label shows the model and serial number. On a fridge it is usually inside on a side wall, on a washer behind the door or the filter flap, on a dishwasher on the inner edge of the door, and on ovens and cookers around the oven opening. The code format differs by factory and year, so do not judge a part by how the appliance looks. Photograph the whole label, and if it has a PNC box, photograph that too; it is the product number on Electrolux group appliances.

Westinghouse refrigerators repair

Book a technician

If the freezer of a White Westinghouse No Frost fridge keeps freezing while the section below turns warm, the cause is usually ice blocking the air duct after the automatic defrost stopped working, not the compressor.

Before you book a technician for the fridge

Close the door on a sheet of paper and pull it: if it slides out easily, the seal is not closing properly. Leave space behind and beside the fridge, and do not put hot food inside. After any change to the thermostat setting, wait a full day before judging. Then listen: can you hear the compressor and fan, or is the fridge completely silent?

The model and serial number are on a label inside the fridge on a side wall. Photograph it along with anything shown on the display if there is one, and note when the fault began and whether it followed a power cut or a move.

Do not chip ice away with a knife or screwdriver: one slip can puncture the evaporator and release the refrigerant. Any work on the refrigerant circuit or the compressor is done by a technician with the right equipment, not the homeowner.

Common White Westinghouse fridge faults6

The freezer freezes but the fridge below is not cold

Moderate

Food in the freezer is frozen, but the vegetables and drinks below are warm or only slightly cool.

Possible causes

  • Ice blocking the air opening between the freezer and the fridge
  • The defrost heater, its sensor or the timer
  • A stopped freezer fan
  • Food packed against the inner air vents

Solution: Move food away from the vents. If you can see ice behind the freezer cover, empty the food, unplug the fridge and leave both doors open until it melts, with towels underneath. If the problem comes back within days, the defrost cycle needs a technician to measure the heater and sensor.

Ice building up inside the freezer

Moderate

A layer of ice on the shelves or walls, even though the fridge is No Frost.

Possible causes

  • The door is left ajar or the seal does not close
  • Frequent door opening in hot weather
  • The defrost cycle is not working

Solution: Make sure the door closes by itself with no box or shelf in the way, and test the seal with paper. Ice that returns quickly while the door shuts properly points to a defrost fault.

The fridge is silent and not cooling

Moderate

No compressor sound, while the inside light may still work.

Possible causes

  • The socket, power strip or voltage stabiliser
  • Low mains voltage
  • The thermostat or control board
  • The compressor relay or overload

Solution: Plug the fridge straight into a wall socket and test another appliance in the same socket. If you hear a click every so often but the compressor never starts, unplug it and do not keep retrying; it needs a technician to measure.

Water under the crisper drawer or on the floor

Easy

A small pool of water under the drawers, or drips running out in front of the fridge.

Possible causes

  • A blocked defrost drain hole
  • The drip tray underneath has shifted
  • The fridge is not level

Solution: Clear the drain hole at the back of the fridge floor with warm water and a syringe or a soft wire. Adjust the feet so the fridge tilts back very slightly, so the door closes and the water runs where it should.

Loud noise or knocking inside

Moderate

Knocking or humming you are not used to, from the freezer or the back of the fridge.

Possible causes

  • The fan blade hitting ice
  • The fridge is not level or is touching the wall
  • Pipes at the back touching each other
  • The compressor

Solution: Move the fridge a little away from the wall and level its feet. Knocking inside the freezer is usually ice reaching the fan, which goes back to a defrost fault. Loud humming or clicking from the compressor needs a technician.

The compressor runs non-stop and cooling is weak

Moderate

The fridge never cycles off, yet it never gets as cold as usual.

Possible causes

  • Dust on the condenser at the back or underneath
  • The fridge stands somewhere hot or unventilated
  • The door seal
  • Low refrigerant from a leak

Solution: Switch off the power, clean the condenser with a soft brush or a vacuum, and leave room for air. If cooling is still weak, the technician measures temperature and pressure before saying the refrigerant is low.

Habits that extend a fridge's life3

Clean the condenser

Yearly

Once a year with the power off, clear the dust from the condenser at the back or underneath; dust makes the compressor run longer.

The water drain hole

Monthly

About once a month, pour a little warm water into the drain hole at the back of the fridge so it does not block.

The door seal

Monthly

Wipe it with water and mild soap, and remove any crumbs that stop it closing fully.

Questions about White Westinghouse fridges2

After moving the fridge, when can I switch it on?

If it was moved upright, wait a few hours before switching on so the compressor oil settles back, and longer if it was laid down. After switching on, give it a full day to reach temperature before judging it.

Should I fit a voltage stabiliser to the fridge?

If your mains voltage often drops or surges, a stabiliser rated for the fridge protects the compressor and the control board. It should plug straight into the wall socket, not at the end of a power strip shared with other appliances.

Westinghouse ovens repair

Book a technician

If a White Westinghouse electric oven stopped heating after a power cut, start with the clock before the element: on many ovens with a display, the clock keeps flashing 00:00 or 12:00 and the oven will not heat until the time is set.

Before you take anything apart in the oven

A built-in electric oven draws a high current, so it must be on a breaker and connection rated for its load. Before removing a shelf or wiping inside, switch it off and let it cool. Before taking anything apart, switch off the breaker itself, not just the oven's knob.

The model is on a label around the oven opening, visible when the door is fully open. Note whether the oven is gas or electric, which function is not working, and what the display shows. On some models the child lock or demo mode stops it heating, and the manual explains how to cancel them.

A burning smell from an electric oven: switch off the breaker. A gas smell from a gas oven: close the valve, open the windows and do not touch electrical switches; if the smell is strong, leave and call the gas emergency line 129. In both cases, do not try the oven again before it is inspected.

built-in oven — illustrative photo
Common White Westinghouse oven faults5

The electric oven does not heat at all

Easy

The light may come on and the fan may turn, but no function produces heat.

Possible causes

  • The clock was not set after installation or after a power cut
  • A cooking duration or end time set by mistake
  • The child lock or demo mode on some models
  • The breaker or fuse
  • The function selector or the thermostat

Solution: Set the clock, cancel any duration or end time, and select a function and temperature by hand. Check the breaker has not tripped. If all that is fine and no function heats, the technician tests the elements and thermostat.

It heats only from the top or only from the bottom

Moderate

Food browns on one side only, and one of the functions does nothing.

Possible causes

  • A burnt-out top or bottom element
  • A burnt wire or terminal at the element's end
  • The function selector

Solution: Try each function on its own and see which element stays dark. An element can be replaced without changing the oven, but the work is done with the breaker off and by a technician.

Food burns or takes longer than usual

Moderate

The temperature on the knob is not what the oven reaches inside.

Possible causes

  • The temperature sensor or the thermostat
  • A torn door seal letting heat escape
  • The oven was not preheated before the food went in

Solution: Preheat until the heating lamp goes out, and put the tray in the middle. If the difference is large and keeps happening, the sensor or thermostat needs testing.

The oven fan hums or knocks

Moderate

A noise from the back wall inside the oven, and sometimes the fan stops.

Possible causes

  • Worn fan motor bearings
  • A loose blade or something touching it
  • A shelf or tray touching the fan cover

Solution: Take the shelves out, refit them in their runners and run the oven empty. If the noise remains, the motor needs a technician with the breaker off.

The breaker trips as soon as the oven starts

Needs a technician

Heating starts for a few seconds and then the power cuts out.

Possible causes

  • A shorted or cracked element
  • Moisture or water reaching the element terminals
  • A burnt wire inside the oven

Solution: Leave the breaker off and do not reset it again. This is an electrical fault that needs a technician's measurement before any use.

Habits that keep an oven working2

Clean the inside when it is cold

Monthly

Grease that burns on every use causes smoke and smells, and can reach the oven fan.

Check the door seal

Yearly

If it is torn or out of place, heat escapes and the outer glass gets too hot.

Questions about White Westinghouse ovens1

The oven heats but the light inside is off. Is that a fault?

It is not a heating fault; the bulb has usually blown. It is changed once the oven is cold and the breaker is off, using an oven bulb rated for high heat and of the same wattage. If the glass lamp cover does not come off easily, do not force it; leave it to the technician.

Westinghouse air conditioners repair

Book a technician

If a White Westinghouse AC runs but the air is not cold, the cause usually starts with a clogged filter or a smothered outdoor unit before it comes down to low refrigerant.

Before you book a technician for the AC

Take out the indoor unit's filters, wash them in lukewarm water and let them dry in the shade. Check the mode is cooling rather than fan or dry, and the set temperature is below the room's. Then look at the outdoor unit: is its fan turning? Are boxes or a close wall stopping the hot air from escaping?

The model, refrigerant type and charge are printed on the outdoor unit's label, and the model also appears on the side of the indoor unit. What a display code means depends on the maker, so photograph it, or film the lamp while it flashes, and send it with a photo of the label.

A burning smell, or a breaker that trips every time the unit starts: switch off the breaker and wait for the technician. Do not remove the outdoor unit's cover; the capacitor inside holds an electrical charge even after the power is off.

split air conditioner — illustrative photo
Common White Westinghouse AC faults5

The unit runs but the air is not cold

Moderate

Air is coming out, but the room never reaches the temperature you want.

Possible causes

  • A filter heavy with dust
  • A dirty outdoor unit, or one in full sun in an enclosed spot
  • The outdoor fan or its capacitor
  • Low refrigerant from a leak
  • Weak mains voltage at peak hours

Solution: Wash the filter and clear the space around the outdoor unit. If the outside fan is not turning or the air is still not cold, the technician measures voltage and pressure before deciding on any recharge.

Water dripping from the indoor unit

Easy

Drips on the wall or floor under the unit while it runs.

Possible causes

  • A blocked or kinked drain hose, or one that does not run downhill
  • A dirty filter letting the evaporator ice up and then melt all at once
  • An indoor unit not mounted level

Solution: Clean the filter and trace the drain hose to its end, making sure it slopes down all the way without rising. If the tray inside is blocked, it is cleared during a unit service.

Ice on the thin pipe or inside the unit

Moderate

A layer of ice on the pipe outside or on the fins inside, with cooling dropping off.

Possible causes

  • A clogged filter stopping air across the evaporator
  • A slow indoor fan
  • Low refrigerant

Solution: Run the unit on fan mode until the ice melts, and clean the filter. If the ice comes back, the refrigerant and the fan need testing.

Cools, then cuts out in the worst of the heat

Moderate

Fine in the morning and at night, but at midday the outdoor unit stops and restarts.

Possible causes

  • Voltage dropping at peak times
  • A dirty condenser, or hot air blowing back onto it
  • The compressor capacitor
  • Low refrigerant overheating the compressor

Solution: Clear around the outdoor unit, and if you have a stabiliser with a display, check the voltage when it happens. If it keeps cutting out, the technician measures current, voltage and pressure with the unit running.

The remote does not operate the unit

Easy

You press the buttons and the unit neither beeps nor responds.

Possible causes

  • Weak batteries
  • Dust or direct sun on the indoor unit's sensor
  • The remote was dropped or got wet
  • The receiver board in the unit

Solution: Replace the batteries, move closer and aim the remote at the unit's sensor. Many units have a small button under the front panel that runs the unit without a remote; if that works, the remote is usually the problem.

Habits that help an AC cool better2

Wash the filter in summer

Weekly

Every week or two during heavy use, with lukewarm water and no hard scrubbing, and refit it dry.

Clean the evaporator and condenser before the heat

Yearly

Once a year, together with a check of the drain hose and the cables between the two units.

Questions about White Westinghouse air conditioners2

I lost the remote. Will any remote do?

No. A replacement remote has to match the old remote's shape and buttons or the unit's model, so compare before buying. Programmable universal remotes exist, but they may not run every function.

How do I find out which refrigerant my AC uses?

From the outdoor unit's label, next to the required charge. Recharging uses that same type only, and only after the leak is repaired; refrigerant runs in a sealed circuit and is not used up.

Westinghouse washing machines repair

Book a technician

White Westinghouse washers in homes include front-loaders and top-loaders. If the washer stops with water inside, the cause is usually a pump filter full of lint and coins or a kinked drain hose, not a failed pump.

Before you book a technician for the washer

Make sure the water tap is fully open and the hose is not kinked behind the washer. On a front-loader, the pump filter sits behind a small flap at the bottom front; put down a shallow container and a towel before opening it, because all the water in the drum drains out there. On a top-loader, the model's manual shows where the lint filter is, if there is one.

On a front-loader the rating label is usually behind the door or the filter flap, and on a top-loader under the lid or on the back. If the display shows a code, photograph it before unplugging; its meaning varies between models, and no single table fits every washer carrying this name.

Unplug the washer before opening the filter or reaching into the drum. If it gives you a shock when touched, or trips the breaker as soon as it starts, leave it unplugged and do not try it again until it is inspected.

front-loading washing machine — illustrative photo
Common White Westinghouse washer faults6

The washer stops with water in the drum

Easy

The programme stops before the spin, and the water does not drain.

Possible causes

  • A pump filter blocked by lint, coins or buttons
  • A kinked drain hose, or one pushed too far into the wall pipe
  • A blocked wall drain pipe
  • The drain pump

Solution: Drain the water through the filter into the container in stages, then remove and clean the filter and turn the impeller behind it with your finger. Straighten the hose. If the pump hums but no water drains with a clean filter, the pump needs checking.

Not filling, or filling very slowly

Easy

The programme starts with no sound of water entering, or filling takes a long time.

Possible causes

  • The tap or the household water pressure
  • A blocked mesh at the hose connection
  • The water inlet valve

Solution: Close the tap and unplug the washer, then undo the hose at the back and clean sand and scale from the mesh. If pressure is good and water still does not enter, the valve needs testing.

Not spinning, or the drum does not turn

Moderate

Clothes come out soaked, or the motor hums while the drum stays still.

Possible causes

  • Clothes bunched on one side, or a single heavy item
  • The door lock or lid switch
  • A snapped or slack belt on belt-driven models
  • The motor brushes or the control board

Solution: Spread the clothes out and run a spin on its own. If the motor hums but the drum stays still, or there is a burning smell, unplug the washer and let a technician check the belt and motor.

Heavy shaking and moving during spin

Moderate

The washer walks out of place, or there is a constant roar even with an empty drum.

Possible causes

  • Unlevelled feet
  • Transit bolts still fitted on a new washer or after a move
  • The shock absorbers or springs
  • The drum bearings

Solution: Level the feet with a spirit level and make sure the transit bolts are out. A constant roar is a sign of worn bearings, and replacing them means taking the drum apart.

Water under the washer

Moderate

A puddle on the floor during or after a wash.

Possible causes

  • The filter cap is not screwed in properly
  • A blocked detergent drawer overflowing
  • A torn or dirty door seal on a front-loader
  • A loose hose connection

Solution: Screw the filter cap fully home, wash the detergent drawer, and wipe the seal while checking it for tears. If water still comes from under the body, the leak is inside and needs a technician.

The door will not open after the programme

Easy

The programme has finished but the door stays locked.

Possible causes

  • The safety lock waits a minute or two
  • There is still water in the drum
  • The door lock itself

Solution: Wait a little after the programme ends. If there is water in the drum, run a drain or spin. If the drum is empty and the door stays locked, the lock needs a technician; do not force the handle.

Habits that reduce washer faults3

The pump filter and pockets

Monthly

Clean the filter about once a month, more often if you wash a lot, and above all empty pockets before washing so coins and tissues never reach the pump.

The right detergent in the right amount

Daily

For every wash, use a detergent labelled for automatic washers and do not overdose; excess foam leaves a smell and can overflow from the drawer.

Leave the door ajar after washing

Daily

After the day's last wash, so the seal and drum dry out and do not go mouldy.

Questions about White Westinghouse washers2

Can I use hand-wash powder in an automatic washer?

No. Hand-wash powder makes a lot of foam that slows draining, and it can spill from the drawer or door and leave the drum smelling.

The washer is old. Is a repair worth it?

It depends on the fault. A filter, hose, belt or pump is a simple repair, but bearings, a control board or a motor can approach the price of a new washer. The technician tells you the cost, and whether the part is original or a compatible replacement, before starting.

Westinghouse cookers repair

Book a technician

Electrolux began making White Westinghouse freestanding cookers at its plant in Egypt in 2015. If a burner clicks without catching, or lights and then goes out as soon as you release the knob, the cause is usually a misplaced burner cap, a wet ignition electrode or a sensor that needs cleaning, not a fault in the gas itself.

Gas first: safety before any test

If you smell gas, close the cylinder or mains gas valve, open the windows, and do not light anything or touch any electrical switch until the smell is gone. If the smell is strong or does not clear, leave the flat and call the gas emergency line 129 from outside. Never look for a leak with a lighter or match; soapy water on the outside connection shows it as bubbles, and any leak inside the cooker is a technician's job.

The model label is usually around the oven opening and shows when you open the door. A cooker usually has no code display, so describe the fault in detail: which burner, whether it clicks or stays silent, exactly when it goes out, and whether the oven lights.

Never wedge a burner knob down to keep it lit, and do not remove the safety sensor beside the flame on cookers that have flame safety. That sensor is what cuts the gas if the flame goes out.

gas cooker with oven — illustrative photo
Common White Westinghouse cooker faults5

The burner clicks but does not light

Easy

You hear the igniter and see a spark, but the flame does not catch.

Possible causes

  • The burner cap is not seated properly
  • The ignition electrode is wet or greasy
  • Blocked holes in the burner head
  • The gas is off or the cylinder is nearly empty

Solution: Make sure the valve is open and seat the cap until it sits flat. Dry the electrode and give it a while if it was just wiped. If no burner lights at all, check the gas first. If the igniter is completely silent, or clicks by itself without being pressed, it needs a technician.

The burner lights, then goes out when you release the knob

Moderate

It catches for a few seconds, and the flame disappears as soon as you let go.

Possible causes

  • The knob is not held long enough for the sensor to heat up
  • The sensor tip is dirty or out of the flame
  • The sensor itself or the safety valve

Solution: After lighting, keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds. Clean the sensor tip beside the burner with a dry brush, and make sure the flame touches it. If it still goes out, the sensor or valve needs replacing by a technician.

A yellow flame, or soot on the pans

Moderate

The flame is long rather than blue, and pans blacken underneath.

Possible causes

  • Food or grease on the burner holes or cap
  • The cap is upside down or misplaced
  • A nozzle that does not suit the gas type, bottled or mains

Solution: Wash the caps and heads in soapy water and dry them well before refitting. If the flame stays yellow, or the cooker was moved from bottled to mains gas or the other way round, the technician checks the nozzles and air setting.

The oven will not light or heats poorly

Moderate

The oven burner will not catch, or it lights but food takes longer than usual.

Possible causes

  • The oven flame is not holding and the safety cuts it
  • The oven thermostat or its sensor
  • Blocked oven burner holes

Solution: Keep the oven door open while lighting, and hold the knob longer than for a hob burner. If it lights and goes out, or never reaches temperature, the technician checks the sensor and thermostat.

A gas smell with the cooker switched off

Needs a technician

A gas smell in the kitchen even with every knob off.

Possible causes

  • A loose hose connection or clamp
  • An old hose that has dried out or cracked
  • A valve or knob inside the cooker

Solution: Close the valve and air the room without touching any electrical switch, and if the smell is strong, leave and call the gas emergency line 129. Once the smell has cleared, try soapy water on the outside connection only. If the leak is inside or you cannot find it, do not turn the gas back on until the technician has seen it.

Habits that keep a cooker working2

Clean the burner heads and caps

Weekly

About once a week, or after anything boils over; food in the holes makes the flame weak or yellow.

Inspect the gas hose

Monthly

If it looks dry, cracked or squashed behind the cooker, it must be replaced with an approved gas hose with the valve closed. On mains gas, have a technician or the gas company replace it, and after any change test the joint with soapy water, never with a flame.

Questions about White Westinghouse cookers1

Can the cooker be converted from bottled gas to mains gas?

Conversion needs nozzles that suit the gas type and adjustment of the air and the low flame, and a technician should do it. If you are not sure which gas the cooker is set for, look at the label; it usually states the gas type and pressure.

White Westinghouse dishwashers repair

Book a technician

Many White Westinghouse dishwasher faults start at the base filter: water left at the bottom and dishes coming out with food on them, and cleaning it along with the spray arms solves a good share of them.

First: the filter and the spray arms

Take out the lower basket, twist the filter out of the base and wash it under the tap with a soft brush. Look in the sump beneath it for bones, broken glass or paper labels. Then spin the spray arms by hand and make sure no pot or tall plate stops them.

The model label is usually on the inner edge of the door. Use dishwasher tablets or powder only, because ordinary washing-up liquid makes foam that reaches the base. If there is a code or flashing lights, photograph them together with the label.

If you find water on the floor, switch off the breaker first and then mop up, and do not go near the plug with wet hands or feet.

dishwasher — illustrative photo
Common dishwasher faults4

Water left in the base after the programme

Easy

The programme ends with water standing under the filter.

Possible causes

  • A blocked filter
  • A kinked drain hose or a blocked connection under the sink
  • The drain pump

Solution: Clean the filter, follow the drain hose to the sink and make sure it is not kinked and its connection is clear. If the water still does not drain, the pump needs inspecting.

Not filling, or stopping soon after starting

Easy

There is no sound of water coming in, and the machine stops after a while.

Possible causes

  • A closed tap or low pressure
  • A kinked inlet hose
  • The inlet valve
  • The door not fully shut

Solution: Open the tap, straighten the hose and close the door until it clicks. If it still does not fill, the inlet valve needs testing.

Dishes come out dirty or with a white film

Easy

Food left on plates, or a white haze on glasses.

Possible causes

  • A blocked filter or spray-arm holes
  • Salt or rinse aid has run out
  • Loading that stops an arm from turning
  • The water is not heating

Solution: Clear the spray-arm holes with a toothpick, refill the salt and rinse aid, and load plates facing the arm. If the water is still cold near the end of the programme, the heater needs inspecting.

Water under the machine or from under the door

Moderate

Wet floor in front of the machine, or it stops and keeps draining.

Possible causes

  • Foam from the wrong detergent
  • A dirty door seal or debris on it
  • The machine is not level
  • An internal leak from a hose or joint

Solution: Turn off the tap and the breaker, wipe the seal and check the detergent. If foam was the cause, let it dry for a day. If water returns once the base is dry, the leak is inside and needs a technician.

Habits that keep a dishwasher cleaning well2

Wash the base filter

Weekly

Once a week, and scrape large scraps into the bin before loading.

Top up salt and rinse aid

Monthly

Salt reduces scale on the heater and glasses if your water is hard, and rinse aid helps the dishes dry.

Questions about White Westinghouse dishwashers1

Dishes come out wet. Is that a fault?

Plastics usually stay wet because they do not hold heat. If glass and china are wet too, refill the rinse aid and open the door a little after the programme. If the water does not heat at all, the heater needs inspecting.

Things about your appliance that change the diagnosis

These points come from published pages about the brand and its models, and not all of them apply to every appliance. Knowing them saves time at the inspection.

  • Cookers built in Egypt

Freestanding cookers from the Electrolux plant opened in 2015

The plant has two production lines for freestanding cookers and builds them for four of the group's brands.

    Common faults

Because several brands come out of the same plant, the part is identified from the model on the label, not from how the cooker looks. Before any part is replaced, the burner, the igniter and the gas valve are checked first.

  • No Frost

No Frost fridges such as the WGT-485SS

A fan moves cold air between the freezer and the fridge, and a heater melts frost off the evaporator at intervals, so no ice builds up on the walls. Sizzling or dripping during defrosting is normal.

    Common faults

When the defrost cycle stops, ice closes the air duct; the signs and steps are in the fridge section.

  • Westinghouse without White

    Electrolux appliances in Australia

Electrolux also has a brand called simply Westinghouse, one of its main brands in Australia. The name has also been licensed for other products such as ceiling fans and batteries.

    Common faults

Fault codes and instructions in Australian manuals under that name belong to other models, so do not replace a part based on them. The reference for your appliance is the manual that came with it or a photo of its label.

  4. Tested in front of you, with a written warranty

We test the appliance in front of you after the repair, and you get a 6-month written warranty on the work and the replaced part.

Questions about White Westinghouse repairs

Is Agent Site Westinghouse's customer service?
No. We are a repair company that services this brand and others, and we are not affiliated with Electrolux or any importer. If the appliance is still under warranty, contact whoever is named on the warranty card, or the shop you bought it from, before anything is opened, because a repair outside their network can void the warranty.
Where can I find fault codes for these appliances?
We have not found a code table published by the company for the models in Egypt, and codes differ from one model to another. Photograph the code on the display together with the label, check the model's manual, or send both to us.
Can parts still be found for older units?
General parts such as seals, thermostats, heating elements, igniters and pumps have many compatible replacements. Control boards and model-specific parts can be harder, and the technician tells you before starting so you can compare with the price of a new appliance.
