Replacing the original rubber door gasket
The front-load washing machine is the most common in modern Egyptian homes. It is highly efficient in saving water and electricity, cleans more deeply, and suits large families. Its maintenance is more complex than a top-load because it has a rubber door gasket and drum bearings that need a specialist technician.
Front-load washers rely on the drum rotating horizontally, so there is less friction on the clothes and a deeper clean. They use 40% less water than a top-load and 30% less electricity. The most common brands in Egypt: Bosch, Beko, Indesit, Samsung, LG, Electrolux, Candy, Kiriazi and Haier.
