Universal Repair

Burner lights, then goes out as soon as you release the knob? Gas heater clicking but not catching? Universal is an Egyptian brand best known for its cookers and water heaters, and many of its faults come from something simple like the gas valve, a wet igniter or weak batteries. The rest needs a technician who knows the exact part for your model.

Universal: an Egyptian maker in 6th of October

illustrative instantaneous water heater — illustrative photo

Universal Group is an Egyptian home-appliance company founded in 1984, with its factory in the Second Industrial Zone of 6th of October City. In 2016 it opened a plant for the moulds used to form parts for cookers, washers and water heaters. It is best known for cookers and gas and electric water heaters, and also makes top-loading, semi-automatic and twin-tub washers, split air conditioners and microwaves.

The brand's model numbers tell you useful things: in the WFTC10DS washer, 10 is the kilograms; in the DLS10 gas heater the number is the litres; and cooker sizes are written as 60X90, meaning 60 cm deep and 90 cm wide. Photograph the rating label on the appliance and never remove it: the warranty is void if the model or serial number is removed or altered.

Universal water heaters repair

Book a technician

Universal's gas water heaters are digital models of 6 and 10 litres, such as Caesar DLCA6 and Smiling DLS10, and its electric heaters run from 15 to 80 litres, such as Tempo, Slim and L'oceano. A gas heater that will not light is usually down to batteries or water pressure, and an electric one giving lukewarm water is usually the thermostat or the element.

Gas and electric heaters: safety first

A gas heater belongs in a ventilated kitchen or light-well, its flue must lead outside, and models with a chimney such as the DLS10 must never run without it. Do not install it inside a closed bathroom. If you smell gas, close the valve, open the windows, do not light anything or switch any electrical switch on or off, then leave and call the gas emergency line 129.

The gas heaters on the company's website are marked L.P.G., meaning bottled gas, so make sure your heater suits the gas you have. On an electric heater, switch off the breaker before any check, and never run it empty. The model and capacity are on a label on the side or underside of the heater.

Common Universal water heater faults5

The gas heater clicks but does not catch

Easy

You open the hot tap and hear the spark, but the heater does not light or lights for a second and goes out.

Possible causes

  • Weak batteries
  • The gas valve is closed or the cylinder is empty
  • Water pressure too low to start the heater
  • The ignition electrode or flame sensor

Solution: Fit new batteries; on the Caesar, check the battery indicator on the display. Open the gas valve and the tap fully. If water is weak at every tap, the problem is the house pressure, not the heater.

The heater goes out mid-shower

Moderate

The water heats up, then suddenly turns cold, and comes back when you close and reopen the tap.

Possible causes

  • Pressure dropped when someone opened another tap
  • Batteries running down
  • Overheat protection or a blocked flue
  • The flame sensor or gas valve

Solution: Try new batteries and open the tap further. If it goes out and the flue is blocked or not vented outside, keep the heater off until that is fixed; that is an important protection.

The electric heater gives lukewarm water

Moderate

The lamp or temperature indicator works but the water is not as hot as before, or runs out quickly.

Possible causes

  • The thermostat is set low
  • The power-saver mode is on
  • A burnt-out element
  • Scale on the element

Solution: Turn the thermostat up and wait for a full heating cycle. If the water is still cold, a technician measures the element and thermostat with the power off; both can be replaced without changing the tank.

The electric heater trips the breaker

Needs a technician

As soon as the heater switches on, the breaker or RCD trips.

Possible causes

  • A cracked element letting water reach the wiring
  • Moisture or water in the terminal box
  • A burnt wire or thermostat

Solution: Leave the breaker off and do not try again. Electricity with water is not something to test at home, and a technician must inspect before any further use.

Dripping from the valve or under the heater

Moderate

Drips from the safety valve on the inlet pipe, or wetness under the heater.

Possible causes

  • Water expanding as it heats, which is normal
  • A worn or scaled safety valve
  • A loose fitting
  • A leaking tank

Solution: Drips only while heating are normal, and never block the valve outlet. If it drips constantly, the valve needs replacing. If water comes from the tank body, repair is usually not worthwhile.

Gas heater batteries

Monthly

Check the battery indicator or how quickly it lights every month, and replace them as soon as ignition starts to lag rather than waiting until the heater stops completely.

Drain sediment from the electric heater

Yearly

Once a year, especially if your water is hard: switch off the power and let the water cool, close the inlet valve and open a hot tap, then drain through the drain valve. Before restoring power, refill the tank until water runs from the hot tap.

Questions about Universal water heaters2

Is the gas heater warranty only one year?

According to the warranty page on the company's website, a gas heater's internal parts are covered for one year and the outer body for 5 years. On an electric heater, the internal parts have two years.

Does the gas heater work without batteries?

Most digital heaters need batteries for ignition and the display. The Caesar DLCA6 is listed as also able to run on 220 volts. If you are unsure, the model's manual is the reference.

Universal cookers repair

Book a technician

Many Universal cookers in homes are 60X90 five-burner models such as Shark and Professional, or 55X55 four-burner models such as New Classic. The most common complaint is a burner that lights and goes out as soon as you let go of the knob, which is usually the safety valve needing time to warm up or a dirty sensor, not a fault in the whole cooker.

Safety first with a gas cooker

If you smell gas: close the gas valve or cylinder, open the windows, do not light anything or switch any electrical switch on or off, then leave and call the gas emergency line 129. Do not light the cooker again until a technician has checked the hose and connections.

Before booking a technician, make sure the main gas valve is fully open and the hose behind the cooker is not kinked. The rating label shows the model, such as 6905PR7 or 5504 NC; photograph it. These cookers do not display codes, so note which burner has the problem and when it happens.

gas cooker with oven — illustrative photo
Common Universal cooker faults6

The igniter clicks but the burner does not light

Easy

You hear the spark but the gas does not catch, or no gas comes out at all.

Possible causes

  • The main gas valve is closed
  • The hose is kinked or the cylinder is empty
  • The igniter electrode is wet after wiping or a boil-over
  • The burner head holes are blocked

Solution: Open the valve and straighten the hose. If the igniter electrode is wet, dry it and wait a while before trying again. Do not hold the knob for more than 15 seconds without a flame: turn it off and air the kitchen for a minute before the next try. If there is no spark on any burner, a technician checks the ignition unit.

The burner goes out as soon as you release the knob

Moderate

The burner stays lit while you press the knob, and goes out the moment you let go.

Possible causes

  • The knob was released before the sensor warmed up
  • The sensor beside the burner is dirty or has moved away from the flame
  • The burner cap is not seated properly
  • The safety valve itself

Solution: Keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds after lighting, and seat the burner cap properly. If only that burner goes out and the others are fine, its sensor or valve needs checking and replacing if faulty.

A yellow flame that blackens pans

Moderate

The flame is long and yellow instead of blue, and leaves soot on the bottom of the pan.

Possible causes

  • The burner's air regulator is out of position
  • Burner holes blocked by food or water
  • The cooker is set for a different gas type than the one supplied

Solution: Clean the burner head with a brush and dry it well. A yellow flame means incomplete burning, which produces carbon monoxide, so ventilate the kitchen and limit use until it is adjusted. If the flame is still yellow, the air regulator or injectors need adjusting by a technician, especially after moving from a cylinder to natural gas.

A weak flame or one that is uneven around the burner

Easy

The flame comes out on one side only, or all burners are weak.

Possible causes

  • Water or food residue in the burner holes
  • A damaged or pinched gas hose
  • A nearly empty cylinder or its regulator

Solution: Clean the holes. If every burner is weak, try another cylinder. If the hose is cracked or hardened, close the valve and do not use the cooker until it is replaced with an approved gas hose, secured with clamps and leak-tested with soapy water, ideally by a technician; on natural gas, only a technician should replace it. If the problem remains, a technician measures the gas pressure.

The oven does not heat or goes out

Moderate

The oven burner lit but food takes far too long, or the flame goes out after a while.

Possible causes

  • The oven knob is not fully open
  • The thermostat is set low
  • The oven safety valve or its sensor
  • The oven door not closing properly or its glass broken

Solution: Open the oven knob fully and raise the temperature. If the flame goes out on its own or the heat never builds, a technician checks the thermostat and the oven valve.

The fan, rotisserie or oven light does not work

Easy

All the burners work, but the oven's electrical parts are dead.

Possible causes

  • The cooker is unplugged or the socket is faulty
  • A burnt-out oven bulb
  • A wire disconnected at the back
  • The rotisserie or fan motor

Solution: Check the plug and test the socket with another appliance. The bulb can be changed once the oven is cold and unplugged. If the plug is fine and the motor still does not turn, that is an electrical check for a technician.

Habits that reduce cooker faults2

Clean and dry the burner heads

Weekly

After any boil-over, and let them dry completely before refitting, so the igniter and holes stay clear.

Inspect the gas hose

Monthly

Check it every month: if it is cracked, hardened or pinched behind the cooker, close the valve and do not use the cooker until a technician replaces it and leak-tests the joints with soapy water.

Questions about Universal cookers2

Why do I have to hold the knob for a while after the burner lights?

On models with a safety valve, the sensor must warm up first before it keeps the gas open. Release the knob too early and the burner goes out; that is protection, not a fault.

Can I convert the cooker from cylinder to natural gas myself?

No. Conversion means changing the injectors, adjusting the air and checking the joints for leaks, which is a technician's job.

Universal washing machines repair

Book a technician

Most current Universal washers are top-loaders: Crystal Wash from 8 to 18 kg such as the WFTC10DS-AAIN2P, and the 11 kg Premium Wash with a Direct Drive motor, alongside the 10 kg Power Matic semi-automatic and the 5 kg Viiga twin-tub. The most common complaint is water left in the drum, usually because the drain hose is placed wrongly or kinked.

Before you book a technician for the washer

Make sure the plug is in and that you pressed start after choosing the programme. If no water comes in, open the tap fully and clean the mesh at the inlet hose connection. If it will not drain, straighten the drain hose and do not leave it lying on the floor or pinched behind the washer.

Crystal and Premium washers have a fault alarm on an LED display, and the meaning of a code is in the manual. The model is printed on the rating label on the washer body.

Unplug the washer before opening any filter or undoing any hose, and never touch the plug with wet hands. If water has run under the washer and reached the cable, switch off the breaker first.

front-loading washing machine — illustrative photo
Common Universal washer faults6

Water stays in the drum and will not drain

Easy

The programme stops before spinning with water still inside.

Possible causes

  • The drain hose is kinked or badly positioned
  • The hose or the wall drain is blocked
  • A full lint filter
  • The drain pump

Solution: Straighten the hose, remove anything on top of it and clean the lint filter. If the hose is clear, the drain is open and water still does not leave, the pump needs checking.

No water coming in, or only a trickle

Easy

The washer waits and no water enters the drum.

Possible causes

  • The tap is closed or the pressure is low
  • The mesh at the hose connection is blocked
  • The water inlet valve

Solution: Close the tap and unplug the washer, then undo the hose and clean sand and scale off the mesh. If pressure is good and water still does not enter, the valve needs checking.

Spinning stops or the washer knocks

Moderate

The washer starts spinning, then stops, or shakes hard and beeps.

Possible causes

  • Clothes bunched on one side
  • The washer is not level
  • A load heavier than the washer's capacity
  • The suspension or the motor

Solution: Spread the clothes round the drum and run the spin again, and level the washer's feet. If the knocking continues with an empty drum, the suspension needs checking.

Water under the washer at the inlet connection

Easy

Wetness behind or under the washer while it fills.

Possible causes

  • A loose inlet hose nut
  • A dried-out or missing hose washer
  • A cracked hose

Solution: Close the tap and tighten the connection, and replace the washer seal if it is dry. If water comes from inside the body, that is an internal leak for a technician.

The display is blank and the washer does not respond

Moderate

Nothing lights on the display when you press the buttons.

Possible causes

  • The plug or socket
  • The power button not pressed
  • A fuse or a board affected by a voltage swing

Solution: Test the socket with another appliance and press the power button. If the socket works and the display is still blank, a technician checks the board and fuse.

The twin-tub spinner does not turn

Moderate

The spin timer runs but the spin tub stays still or barely turns.

Possible causes

  • The spinner lid is open, so the brake stops it
  • Clothes unevenly packed in the tub
  • The spin motor or its capacitor

Solution: Close the lid firmly, spread the clothes and put the inner cover on top. If it still does not turn, unplug the washer and have the motor checked.

Universal front-loading washer codes9

These meanings come from the troubleshooting page on the company's website and cover only the ECO, Aqua and Deluxe front-loaders. Questions about Universal washers2

My Crystal Wash beeps and shows a code. What does it mean?

The code table here is for the older front-loaders and does not necessarily apply to the Crystal Wash, so its codes are explained in the manual. Until you check it, try the simple things: the tap, the drain hose and how the clothes are spread.

Can I load more than the washer's capacity?

No. Overloading makes the spin stop and wears the suspension and motor over time.

Universal refrigerators repair

Book a technician

Universal no longer lists refrigerators in its current product range, but its fridges are still in homes, and the company's troubleshooting page still explains their display warnings, such as SR and LP. This section is for their owners.

Before you book a technician for the fridge

Check the door seal closes all the way round, and that there is space behind and beside the fridge for ventilation. Do not put hot food inside, and give the fridge a full day after any change to the temperature setting before judging it.

The model is on a label on the inner side wall or the back; photograph it. Spare parts may be compatible replacements, and the technician tells you this before the repair. Anything involving refrigerant or the compressor is a technician's job only.

household refrigerator — illustrative photo
Common Universal fridge faults4

The display shows LP and the fridge has stopped

Easy

The fridge has gone into standby and is not cooling.

Possible causes

  • The voltage has dropped below 170 volts
  • A weak extension lead or adaptor

Solution: This is protection, not a fault; the fridge restarts by itself when the supply recovers. Plug it straight into a wall socket, and if the voltage often drops, a suitable stabiliser can help.

An SR warning on the display

Needs a technician

The display shows SR and cooling may have dropped.

Possible causes

  • One of the fridge's parts has failed
  • A problem in the cooling circuit

Solution: The company says this warning needs service straight away. Move food that could spoil, and do not keep unplugging and replugging the fridge.

Weak cooling while the compressor runs

Moderate

The fridge runs constantly and never gets cold enough.

Possible causes

  • The door seal does not close
  • No ventilation behind the fridge
  • The freezer fan or condenser
  • Low refrigerant

Solution: Test the seal with a sheet of paper: close the door on it and pull; if it slides out easily, the seal needs replacing. Make more room behind the fridge. If nothing improves, the technician measures before judging the refrigerant.

Ice building in the freezer while the fridge section is warm

Moderate

The freezer has ice on its wall or behind the cover, and the lower section is not cold.

Possible causes

  • The freezer door left open or a worn seal
  • The defrost heater, its sensor or the timer on No Frost models
  • A blocked air duct between freezer and fridge

Solution: Defrost by unplugging with the doors open and towels underneath. If the ice returns within days, the defrost cycle needs a technician's check.

Universal fridge display warnings2

These meanings come from the troubleshooting page on the company's website. The page does not say which models show them, so if your display shows something else, the manual is the reference.

Habits that ease the fridge's load2

Clean the door seal

Monthly

With water and mild soap, so it does not stick and tear or leave a gap for warm air.

Leave space behind the fridge

Yearly

And clear dust from the condenser at the back or underneath once a year, with the power off.

Questions about Universal fridges1

Are spare parts for a Universal fridge still available?

Parts such as seals, thermostats, fans and heaters have many compatible replacements. The control board and model-specific parts can be harder to find, and the technician tells you before starting.

Universal microwaves repair

Book a technician

Most Universal microwaves have rotary dials: the 20 litre Classic, 25 litre Diamond and 28 litre Infinity, alongside the 42 litre Solo with touch controls and a grill. The most common fault is a microwave that lights up and turns while the food stays cold, which is a high-voltage circuit fault that must not be opened at home.

The microwave: what to do and what not to do

Before booking a technician, test the socket with another appliance, close the door firmly until it clicks, and make sure nothing metal is inside. On models with rotary dials, check the timer is actually turned and the power level is not at its lowest.

The model and power rating are on a label at the back or inside the door. Dial models show no codes, and the company has not published codes for the touch model, so write down exactly what happens and any noise you hear.

Never remove the microwave's cover. The capacitor inside holds a dangerous high voltage even after the plug is pulled. And if the door is broken or will not close, do not use it.

microwave oven — illustrative photo
Common Universal microwave faults5

It turns and lights up but the food stays cold

Needs a technician

Everything seems to work but nothing heats, sometimes with a louder hum than usual.

Possible causes

  • The magnetron
  • The high-voltage capacitor or diode
  • One of the door switches
  • The high-voltage fuse

Solution: Try a cup of water for one minute on full power. If it stays cold, unplug the microwave and leave it to a technician; these parts are in the high-voltage circuit.

Sparks or crackling inside

Moderate

Blue flashes or crackling while heating.

Possible causes

  • Metal, foil or a plate with a gold rim
  • Food residue on the small cover on the cavity wall
  • That cover has burnt
  • Peeling cavity paint

Solution: Stop the microwave at once, remove any metal, and clean the cavity and the small cover. If the cover is burnt or sparking returns, do not use it until it is replaced.

The turntable does not turn

Easy

The microwave runs but the plate stays still, so food heats on one side.

Possible causes

  • The roller ring underneath is out of place or dirty
  • The plate is not seated on the coupler
  • The turntable motor

Solution: Take out the plate and ring, wash them and refit them with the plate on the coupler. If it still does not turn, the small motor is an easy change for a technician.

No power at all

Moderate

No light or sound when you turn the timer or press start.

Possible causes

  • The socket or plug
  • The door not closing properly
  • A blown microwave fuse
  • The mechanical timer on dial models

Solution: Try another socket and close the door firmly. A blown fuse usually points to another fault, so the technician looks for the cause before replacing it.

The grill on the Solo does not brown

Moderate

Grill mode runs but the top element does not glow.

Possible causes

  • The wrong mode selected on the panel
  • A burnt-out grill element
  • A wire or thermal cut-out

Solution: Make sure you selected grill and not microwave only. If the element does not glow at all, a technician needs to measure it.

Habits that extend a microwave's life2

Wipe the cavity after splatters

Weekly

Grease that dries on the walls and the small cover is what causes sparking later.

Never run it empty

Daily

Running it with no food or water sends the energy back into the magnetron and shortens its life.

Questions about Universal microwaves2

Is replacing the magnetron worth it, or should I buy new?

It depends on the appliance's age and the state of the door and cavity. The technician gives you the part price before starting; compare it with a new model of the same capacity.

Steam or warm air comes from the door. Is that normal?

A little steam round the door when heating moist food is normal. But if the door is crooked, a hinge is broken or the seal is torn, stop using it.

Universal air conditioners repair

Book a technician

Universal's split ACs come in three lines: the 12,000 BTU Legacy, the Empire inverter from 9,000 to 24,000 BTU, and the Villar heat-and-cool inverter. The most frequent complaint is a unit that runs without cold air, and the cause is usually a clogged filter or a smothered outdoor unit before refrigerant is even considered.

Before you book a technician for the AC

Lift the front of the indoor unit, take out the filters, wash them in lukewarm water and let them dry. Make sure the mode is Cool, not Fan or Dry, and that the remote has batteries. Then look at the outdoor unit: is its fan turning? Is anything in front of it blocking the air?

The code is on a label on the side of the indoor unit, for example ACEM1-S12FDIC: 12 means 12,000 BTU, commonly called 1.5 HP, and a final C means cooling only while H means heat and cool. The company has not published fault codes for its ACs, so if the display shows a code, photograph it and check the manual.

If the AC trips the breaker every time it starts or smells of burning, switch off the breaker and do not try again. Do not open the outdoor unit: its capacitors stay charged after the power is cut, and refrigerant is for a technician only.

split air conditioner — illustrative photo
Common Universal AC faults5

Running but the air is not cold

Moderate

The indoor fan runs but the room does not cool down.

Possible causes

  • Clogged filters
  • A dirty outdoor unit or one in an enclosed spot
  • Low voltage at peak heat
  • Low refrigerant from a leak
  • Capacity too small for the room

Solution: Wash the filters and clear anything round the outdoor unit. If it still does not cool, the technician measures voltage and pressure and looks for a leak before adding any refrigerant.

Water dripping from the indoor unit

Easy

Drops or a trickle running down the wall below the unit.

Possible causes

  • A drain hose blocked by dust or insects
  • The hose kinked or running uphill
  • The unit not level on the wall
  • A clogged filter letting the evaporator ice up

Solution: Wash the filters and check the drain hose outlet outside. If it is blocked or the unit is tilted, clearing the hose and levelling the unit is a quick job for a technician.

Trips the breaker or stops after a while

Needs a technician

The unit starts, then after a few minutes the breaker trips or the outdoor unit stops.

Possible causes

  • A breaker or cable too small for the unit
  • A weak compressor capacitor
  • An overheated outdoor unit from poor airflow
  • The compressor itself

Solution: Leave it off and do not keep restarting it. The technician first measures the current draw, the capacitor and the voltage, because most of these cases are not the compressor.

The outdoor unit does not start

Moderate

The indoor unit blows plain air, and outside there is no sound and the fan does not turn.

Possible causes

  • Fan mode, or a set temperature above the room's
  • Low-voltage protection
  • A capacitor or contactor in the outdoor unit
  • The inverter board on Empire and Villar

Solution: Set Cool mode, lower the temperature a few degrees and wait a few minutes, because the unit delays before starting the compressor. If nothing happens, that is an electrical check for a technician.

Ice on the pipes or the indoor unit

Moderate

A layer of ice on the pipe joints or the fins, with cooling dropping off.

Possible causes

  • Clogged filters reducing airflow
  • A slow indoor fan
  • Low refrigerant

Solution: Switch the unit off to let it thaw, and wash the filters. If ice returns with clean filters, it is usually low refrigerant and needs a leak check.

Yearly

Keep boxes and laundry away from it, and clean its fins before summer.

Questions about Universal ACs2

Does an inverter change the kind of faults?

On Empire and Villar the compressor changes speed through a board in the outdoor unit. That board is sensitive to voltage swings, so when the outdoor unit stops, the board and voltage are checked before the compressor.

Do I need a refrigerant top-up every year?

No. Refrigerant runs in a sealed circuit; if it is low there is a leak that must be fixed first, then the system recharged.

Universal features and how they affect faults

These features are listed on the model pages of the company's website, and not every model has them. Knowing them separates a real fault from an appliance behaving as designed.

  • Cooker safety valve and self-ignition

Cookers such as Shark, Professional 6908 P-DRM and New Classic 5504 NC

The valve cuts gas to the burner if the flame goes out, and the electric igniter lights it without a match.

    Common faults

A burner that goes out when you release the knob usually needs the knob held a few seconds longer, or the sensor beside it is dirty or away from the flame. An igniter that clicks without lighting often has a wet electrode after the hob is wiped.

  • Oven fan and rotisserie motor

Cookers such as the Shark (fan and rotisserie) and the New Classic 5504 NC (rotisserie)

A fan spreads the oven heat and a motor turns the rotisserie spit; both run on electricity, not gas.

    Common faults

If the burners work but the fan, rotisserie or oven light do not, start with the cooker's plug and socket before suspecting the motor.

  • Six-point safety on water heaters

Digital gas heaters such as Caesar DLCA6 and Smiling DLS10, and electric heaters such as Slim and L'oceano

The company describes these heaters as having six safety features. Caesar shows the battery level and can run on 220 volts, and the electric heaters have an enamel-and-titanium lined tank.

    Common faults

A gas heater that keeps shutting itself off is often the safety working correctly because of weak batteries or low water pressure. Never try to bypass a safety part to keep it running.

  • Fuzzy Logic and Direct Drive motor

The Premium Wash WFTP11DS-AAIN2P washer, with Fuzzy Logic on Crystal Wash too

The washer adjusts water and time to the load, and the motor drives the drum directly without a belt. It also has a fault alarm.

    Common faults

There is no belt to snap, but the board driving the motor is sensitive to voltage swings. If the alarm sounds, photograph the display before unplugging the washer.

Our repair steps

Call 16062
  1. Label photo and fault description

Send a photo of the rating label, exactly what the appliance does, and any code, noise or smell.

  2. Checks start with gas and power

The technician checks gas pressure, the hose, the voltage and the socket before taking any part apart.

  3. Cost known before work

You hear the cause, the part needed and the amount, then decide whether to go ahead.

  4. Test in front of you and a warranty on the work

The technician runs the appliance in front of you and tests the repaired part before leaving, and you receive a 6-month written warranty on the part and the work.

Questions about Universal repairs

Is Agent Site Universal's customer service?
No. We are an independent repair company that services Universal and other brands, and we are not affiliated with the company. If your appliance is still under warranty, call the company first on the number on your warranty card.
Has the brand published fault codes for its appliances?
It published a troubleshooting page with codes for older front-loading washers such as ECO, Aqua and Deluxe, and display warnings for its fridges. There is no published code table for its top-loaders, cookers or water heaters; the manual is the reference.
My gas heater says L.P.G. Can I connect it to natural gas?
No. L.P.G. means bottled gas, and a heater set for one gas type must not be connected to the other without a conversion done by a technician. A wrong connection gives an incorrect flame and can be dangerous.
When is the repair price set?
After the inspection and before the technician starts: you are told the cause, whether the part is original or a compatible replacement, and the final amount, and the decision is yours.
