Zanussi Repair

Washer stopped with water inside and E20 on the display? Cooker burner lights but goes out as soon as you release the knob? Many Zanussi washers and cookers are made in Egypt, and many of their faults come from a blocked filter, a kinked hose or a safety thermocouple that needs time to heat, not a broken part. Here is where to start, and when the fault needs a technician.

Zanussi: an Italian brand made in Egypt

front-loading washing machine — illustrative photo

Zanussi was founded in 1916 in Pordenone, Italy, by Antonio Zanussi, and was bought by Sweden's Electrolux in 1984. In Egypt, Electrolux completed its purchase of Olympic Group in September 2011, and in August 2015 opened a cooker factory about 50 km from Cairo that builds Zanussi cookers. In 2023 it said it was considering selling its Egyptian business, and in February 2025 it decided to stay. Some Zanussi front-loading washers and No Frost fridges are labelled as made in Egypt.

The rating label shows three things: the model, such as ZWF8221BL8, the 9-digit product number (PNC), such as 914909476, and the serial number. On models sold in Egypt, the first letters of the model show the appliance type: ZWF is a front-loading washer, ZWT a top-loader, ZDF a dishwasher and ZCG a gas cooker. The label is behind the washer door or the filter flap, on the inner corner of the dishwasher door, around the oven opening, and on the inner side wall of the fridge. Photograph it, because spare parts are matched by PNC, not by the product's trade name.

Zanussi washing machines repair

Book a technician

Most Zanussi washers on the Egyptian market are front-loaders of 6 to 10 kg, such as the ZWF8221BL8 and ZWF9221SD7 listed as made in Egypt, and there are also top-loaders such as the ZWT80700S. If the washer stops with water inside, the cause is usually the pump filter or the drain hose rather than the pump itself.

Before you book a technician for the washer

The code may appear as text such as E20, or as beeps or a light flashing a set number of times on models without a display: one flash is a water inlet problem, two a drain problem. Count the flashes or film them, and photograph the rating label behind the door or the filter flap.

The pump filter is behind a small flap at the bottom front of the washer. The drain hose should go no more than 10 cm into the pipe, with its end between 60 and 100 cm above the floor. If the hose hangs low or is pushed all the way into the pipe, the washer can siphon water out while it fills.

Before removing the filter, unplug the washer, let the water cool if it was a hot programme, and place a shallow tray and a towel. All the water in the drum will come out through that opening.

Common washer faults6

The washer stopped with water inside (E20)

Easy

The programme stops before the spin, there is water in the drum, and you may hear two beeps.

Possible causes

  • The pump filter blocked by coins, buttons or lint
  • The drain hose kinked or pushed too far into the pipe
  • A blocked drain pipe or sink
  • Excess foam from too much detergent
  • The drain pump

Solution: Unplug the washer and clean the filter, turning the impeller behind it by hand if you can see it. Put the drain hose in a bucket and run a drain, to tell whether the problem is the washer or the house pipe. If it still will not drain with a clean filter, the pump needs testing.

Water not coming in or trickling in (E10)

Easy

The programme starts with no sound of water, or filling takes a long time and then the washer stops.

Possible causes

  • The tap is closed or the pressure is low
  • A kinked inlet hose
  • A blocked mesh at the hose connection
  • A drain hose set too low, siphoning water out
  • The water inlet valve

Solution: Open the tap fully and straighten the hose. Close the tap, undo the hose at the back and clean the mesh, and check the drain hose height. If pressure is good and water still does not come in, the valve needs checking.

The door will not lock or the programme will not start (E40)

Moderate

The washer sees the door as not closed, even when it is shut.

Possible causes

  • Clothes caught between the seal and the glass
  • The door not pushed until it clicks
  • An overload pressing on the door
  • The electric door lock

Solution: Clear any clothes from the seal, take some laundry out if it is overfull, and push the door firmly until it clicks. If the code stays, the lock needs checking.

Lots of foam or water under the washer (EF0)

Moderate

The washer has detected a leak risk, excess foam or an unbalanced load.

Possible causes

  • Too much detergent, or detergent not meant for front-loaders
  • A scaled, blocked detergent drawer
  • Clothes caught in the door seal
  • A leak from the inlet hose or door seal

Solution: Use less detergent and leave the washer off for a few hours until the foam settles, and clean the detergent drawer. Check the inlet hose connections at both ends. If the seal is torn or the code returns, do not use the washer until a technician sees it.

The drum will not turn or the washer will not spin

Moderate

The programme runs but the drum stays still, or the spin is skipped and clothes come out wet.

Possible causes

  • A tiny load or one heavy item the washer cannot balance
  • Water not drained
  • The motor or the board

Solution: Add a few small items or spread the clothes by hand, and make sure draining works. If the drum does not turn at all or E50 appears, the motor and board need testing.

Water not heating (E60)

Moderate

Hot programmes end with cold water, or the washer stops with a heating code.

Possible causes

  • The heating element
  • The temperature sensor
  • Heavy scale on the element

Solution: This needs the element and sensor measured, and replacing them does not require removing the drum.

Washer error codes8

These meanings come from the brand's UK support pages and apply to front-loading washers. Models made in Egypt do not have their manuals published online, so your model may show other codes, especially ZWT top-loaders. Check the manual that came with the washer.

The pump filter

Monthly

Clean it every month or two, and check pockets before washing for coins and tissues.

Less detergent than you think

Weekly

Extra detergent makes foam that triggers EF0 or slows draining, and the clothes come out no cleaner.

Leave the door and drawer open

Daily

After the last wash, so moisture escapes and mould does not grow in the seal.

Questions about Zanussi washers2

The washer shows no code, just a light flashing on and off

Count the flashes between pauses. On the brand's pages, one flash means a water inlet problem and two a drain problem. For any other count, film it and send it with the model.

Can I clear the code and carry on washing?

Once the cause is fixed, such as a cleaned filter or a straightened hose, restart the programme or press Start/Pause; on many models that is enough. But if there is water on the floor or the code is EF0, do not touch the plug while standing in water: switch off at the breaker and close the tap first, and do not run the washer again if the code returns until a technician has checked it.

Zanussi refrigerators repair

Book a technician

Zanussi fridges on the Egyptian market are mostly two-door top-freezer models: No Frost such as the 338-litre ZTB4002SA and 406-litre ZRT41204BA, and defrost models such as the 320-litre ZRA32103XA. On a No Frost model, if the freezer freezes while the fridge below stays warm, the cause is usually the defrost cycle rather than the compressor.

Before you book a technician for the fridge

Leave space behind and above the fridge so heat can escape, as set out in the installation guide, and keep it away from the cooker and direct sun. Test the seal with a sheet of paper: shut the door on it and pull; if it slides out easily, the seal is not closing. And do not pack the freezer so full that the air vents are blocked.

The model and PNC label is inside the fridge on the side wall. After any power cut, give it some time before judging the cooling. Digital models such as the ZTB4002SA set the temperature on a panel, so first make sure the setting has not been changed by mistake.

If you notice an odd smell from behind the fridge or hear gas escaping, unplug it, ventilate the room and keep any flame away, because the refrigerant in modern fridges can ignite. The refrigerant and its pipes are technician work with proper tools, and no one should open the sealed system at home.

household refrigerator — illustrative photo
Common fridge faults5

The freezer freezes but the fridge below is warm

Moderate

The freezer works well, but food in the fridge is not cold enough or spoils quickly.

Possible causes

  • Ice blocking the air duct between freezer and fridge
  • The defrost heater, its sensor or the timer
  • The freezer fan
  • The air vent inside the fridge blocked by food

Solution: Move food away from the vents. If you see ice on the freezer's back wall, empty the fridge, put towels underneath and switch it off for a full day with the doors open. If it then works and the problem returns after a few days, the defrost cycle needs a technician.

Ice forming inside a No Frost fridge

Moderate

A layer of ice on the walls or around the drawers in an appliance that should not build ice.

Possible causes

  • A door not closing properly or a worn seal
  • A fault in the defrost cycle

Solution: Test the seal with paper and clean it with warm water. If the seal is fine and ice keeps returning, the heater or sensor needs testing.

Water under the vegetable drawers or on the floor

Easy

Water collecting in the bottom of the fridge, or dripping in front of it.

Possible causes

  • A blocked defrost water drain hole
  • The fridge tilting forward
  • A cracked evaporation tray at the back

Solution: Clear the drain hole in the back wall with warm water, and adjust the feet so the fridge leans slightly back. If water comes from the rear, the tray needs inspecting.

The fridge does not cool at all

Needs a technician

The light is on but nothing cools, or there is no compressor sound at all.

Possible causes

  • Low mains voltage
  • The compressor relay or overload
  • The board on digital models
  • A refrigerant leak

Solution: Make sure the fridge is on a wall socket with no extension, and use a suitable stabiliser if your voltage drops. Otherwise the fault needs testing with instruments, and refrigerant in particular is technician work.

Loud noise or clicking

Moderate

A roar or scraping from the top or back, or repeated clicking.

Possible causes

  • The freezer fan hitting ice
  • The fridge not level or touching the wall
  • The compressor fan

Solution: Pull it away from the wall and level the feet. If the noise comes from inside the freezer and drops when you open the door, the fan is hitting ice, which points to the defrost cycle.

Questions about Zanussi fridges2

Where are the error codes for Zanussi fridges?

We found no published code table for the models sold in Egypt. If the panel shows a code or a flashing light, photograph it and check the manual, or send it to us with a photo of the label.

The fridge is new and its sides feel hot. Is that normal?

In many fridges the condenser sits inside the side walls, so that warmth is normal and rises in summer. What is not normal is very hot sides together with weak cooling.

Zanussi cookers repair

Book a technician

The cooker factory Electrolux opened in Egypt in 2015 builds Zanussi cookers, and most models on sale are all-gas 90 cm five-burner models such as the TasteMax ZCG92686XA and CoolMax ZCG94396XB, with 60 cm four-burner models such as the ZCG64396XB. If a burner goes out when you release the knob, the igniter does not click, or the flame is yellow, the causes and steps are below.

Cooker safety first

If you smell gas: close the gas valve or cylinder, open the windows, and do not light a flame or switch any electrical switch on or off. If the smell is strong or does not clear, leave the home and call the gas emergency line 129 from outside. Do not use the cooker again until the cause is found.

These models have a safety device that shuts off the gas if the flame goes out, on both the burners and the oven. So when lighting, press and turn the knob, then wait a few seconds before releasing it so the thermocouple heats up. The model label is around the oven opening; photograph it before you call.

Never tie down a knob or disable the thermocouple to keep a burner lit. That part is what shuts off the gas if the flame is blown out or put out by a boil-over.

gas cooker with oven — illustrative photo
Common cooker faults5

The burner lights but goes out when you release the knob

Moderate

The flame burns while you hold the knob in, and goes out as soon as you let go.

Possible causes

  • Not holding long enough for the thermocouple to heat
  • Burnt food on the thermocouple tip, or the tip out of the flame
  • The burner cap not seated properly
  • A worn thermocouple or safety magnet

Solution: Hold the knob a few seconds after lighting. Once it is cool, clean the thin thermocouple tip next to the burner with a soft brush and seat the cap properly. If it still goes out, a technician replaces the thermocouple, which is a quick repair; do not open any gas connection yourself.

The igniter does not click, or clicks with no spark

Easy

Automatic ignition does not work on one burner or on all of them.

Possible causes

  • The plug not connected
  • A wet or dirty spark electrode
  • A cracked electrode
  • The ignition unit

Solution: Make sure the cooker is plugged in. If an electrode got wet from a boil-over, dry it well and give it time. If no burner clicks, the ignition unit needs checking. Until then, light it with a match: hold the lit match to the burner first, then press and turn the knob.

The oven will not light or goes out after a while

Moderate

No flame in the oven, or it lights and goes out before heating up.

Possible causes

  • Not holding the knob long enough
  • The oven thermocouple
  • Blocked burner ports
  • The thermostat

Solution: Keep the oven door open while lighting, and hold the knob longer than for a burner. If you smell gas and the oven has not lit, turn the knob off, ventilate and wait a minute before trying again. If the safety cuts out after lighting, the oven thermocouple needs checking.

Yellow flame or soot on pans

Moderate

The flame is yellow or orange instead of blue, and uneven.

Possible causes

  • Blocked burner ports
  • The cap out of place
  • Air setting or jet not suited to the gas type

Solution: Clean the burner with a brush, let it dry completely and refit the cap. If the home switched between bottled and natural gas, the jets must be changed, which is technician work.

The cooling fan or oven lamp does not work

Easy

No fan sound when the oven is on, or the lamp does not light.

Possible causes

  • The plug or socket
  • A blown oven lamp
  • The fan motor

Solution: Check the power first. The lamp is changed once the oven is cold and unplugged. If the fan has stopped, do not use the oven until it is repaired, because the heat reaches the knobs and wiring.

Habits that keep a cooker working2

Burners and caps

Weekly

Wipe up boil-overs as soon as the cooker cools, before they burn onto the electrode and thermocouple.

The gas hose

Monthly

Inspect the hose and joints. If the hose is cracked or hard, it must be replaced with an approved gas hose with the valve closed, then test the joints with soapy water, never a lighter. On mains gas, a technician or the gas company should replace it.

Questions about Zanussi cookers2

The igniter keeps clicking by itself. What should I do?

Usually water or cleaner has reached the ignition switch or electrode after the cooker was wiped. Turn every knob off, unplug the cooker and let it dry for a few hours. If the clicking returns once it is dry, the ignition switch needs a technician.

Can I convert the cooker from bottled gas to natural gas?

Yes, but it needs the jets changed and the minimum flame set on each burner and the oven, then a leak test. Do not do it yourself.

Zanussi ovens repair

Book a technician

Zanussi built-in ovens sold in Egypt are 60 cm wide: gas models such as the ZQENG1X1 and ZQENF1X1, and electric models such as the 75-litre ZOHKD4X1A. Faults depend on the type: ignition and flame safety on gas ovens, the elements and thermostat on electric ones.

Gas and electricity in a built-in oven

On a gas oven, if you smell gas, close the valve, open the windows and do not light anything or touch electrical switches; if the smell is strong or does not clear, leave and call the gas emergency line 129 from outside. A model such as the ZQENG1X1 has a safety device that shuts the gas if the flame goes out, so hold the knob a few seconds after the electric igniter lights it.

A built-in oven sits inside a cabinet, and the fan that cools the front and the knobs must keep working. The model label is around the oven opening when the door is open. Before any dismantling, switch off the power at the breaker, close the gas on gas models, and let the oven cool.

built-in oven — illustrative photo
Common oven faults5

The gas oven lights and then goes out

Moderate

The flame appears while you hold the knob, then goes out after you release it.

Possible causes

  • The knob released before the thermocouple heated
  • A dirty thermocouple or one outside the flame
  • A worn thermocouple or safety valve

Solution: Hold the knob longer after ignition. If it still goes out, the technician tests the thermocouple and safety valve and replaces whichever is worn.

The electric ignition does not work

Easy

No clicking or spark when you press the knob.

Possible causes

  • No power to the oven
  • A dirty spark electrode
  • The ignition unit

Solution: Check the breaker and plug. If power is reaching it and there is no spark, the unit needs checking.

The electric oven does not heat, or heats weakly

Moderate

The lamp and fan work but the oven does not reach temperature, or heats from one side only.

Possible causes

  • A burnt-out top or bottom element
  • The fan element on fan-oven models
  • The thermostat or temperature sensor

Solution: Try several cooking modes: if one heats and another does not, that points to the element. Measuring and replacing need the breaker off and a technician.

Food burns or takes too long

Moderate

The real temperature is far from the setting on the knob.

Possible causes

  • The door seal not closing
  • The thermostat
  • The tray at the wrong level

Solution: Put the tray in the middle and check the seal is intact. A simple oven thermometer shows the difference, and if it is large the thermostat needs checking.

The cooling fan has stopped and the front gets hot

Moderate

The knobs or the cabinet around the oven get hotter than usual.

Possible causes

  • The cooling fan motor
  • Blocked ventilation openings in the cabinet

Solution: Do not use the oven until the cooling fan is repaired, because the heat damages the wiring and the cabinet, and clear the cabinet's ventilation openings if they are blocked.

Questions about Zanussi ovens1

The fan keeps running after I switch the oven off. Is that a fault?

Usually not. In many ovens the cooling fan carries on until the oven cools. It is a fault when it keeps running indefinitely with the oven cold.

Zanussi dishwashers repair

Book a technician

Zanussi dishwashers sold in Egypt are 60 cm freestanding models such as the 13-place ZDF22002XA and ZDF26004XA and the 15-place ZDF17002XA. If water is left in the base after the programme, the cause is usually a filter blocked with food scraps, not the pump.

Start with the filter and spray arms

Take out the lower basket, twist the filter in the base and lift it out, and rinse it under the tap. Then turn the spray arms by hand to make sure no plate or pan handle is in their way, and that their holes are not blocked.

Models without a display show the fault as a number of beeps or flashes: one for water inlet, two for draining, three for a leak. The model and PNC label is on the inner edge of the door; photograph it with the code.

dishwasher — illustrative photo
Common dishwasher faults5

Water left in the base (i20)

Easy

The programme stops or ends with water standing under the basket, with two flashes or beeps.

Possible causes

  • A blocked base filter
  • A kinked drain hose
  • A blocked drain connection under the sink
  • The drain pump

Solution: Clean the filter, straighten the hose behind the machine, and check that the kitchen sink itself drains well. If all that is fine and the code returns, the pump needs inspecting.

Not filling (i10)

Easy

No sound of water entering, and the machine stops after a while with a single flash.

Possible causes

  • A closed tap or low pressure
  • A kinked inlet hose
  • An inlet mesh blocked with scale
  • The inlet valve

Solution: Open the tap fully, straighten the hose, and clean the mesh at the connection with the water off. If water still does not enter, the valve needs testing.

The pump keeps running (i30)

Moderate

Water has reached the machine's base, so the anti-flood protection runs the pump and stops the programme.

Possible causes

  • Foam from ordinary washing-up liquid
  • A large dish deflecting the spray onto the door
  • The machine not level
  • An internal leak

Solution: Close the tap, clean the filter, spray arms and door seal, and check the machine is level. Unplug it and leave it until the next day with the tap closed so the base dries, then try a programme. If the code returns, there is an internal leak that a technician must locate.

Dishes come out dirty or with a white film

Easy

Food left on plates, or white marks on glasses.

Possible causes

  • A blocked filter or spray-arm holes
  • Salt or rinse aid run out
  • Loading that stops a spray arm turning
  • The water not heating

Solution: Clear the holes with a toothpick, refill salt and rinse aid when their lamps light, and try the intensive programme. If the water stays cold, the heater needs checking.

The programme stops with a heating or motor code (i60 or i50)

Needs a technician

The machine stops mid-programme, and the display shows a code starting with i5 or i6.

Possible causes

  • The heater or temperature sensor
  • The wash pump
  • The board or wiring

Solution: Unplug the machine for a minute and plug it back in. If the code returns, do not keep restarting it, because this fault needs testing with instruments.

Dishwasher error codes7

These meanings come from the brand's UK support pages. The code appears as text on the display, or as a number of beeps and flashes on models without one. If your model shows a code not listed here, photograph it and check the manual.

Questions about Zanussi dishwashers2

The door opens by itself at the end of the programme. Is that a fault?

No. That is AirDry: the door opens about 10 cm so the dishes dry in the air. Leave it open until the steam has gone.

Can I use ordinary washing-up liquid if I run out of tablets?

No. Its foam reaches the base, triggers the leak protection and shows i30. Use only dishwasher tablets or powder.

Zanussi washer dryers repair

Book a technician

The Zanussi models on sale in Egypt are washer dryers, such as the ZWD91683NS and ZWD11683NS, rather than standalone tumble dryers. If clothes come out damp, the cause is often an overload or a closed tap.

Before you book a technician for the washer dryer

A washer dryer needs the tap open while drying too, because it draws water during the drying cycle. Drying capacity is smaller than washing capacity: the ZWD91683NS, for example, washes 9 kg but dries only 6, so take some clothes out before the drying programme.

A blocked pump filter at the bottom front also weakens drying, so clean it. Codes show on the display as on the brand's washers, and the model label is behind the door. If you have an older standalone dryer, the model and code from the label are the first things we need.

tumble dryer — illustrative photo
Common drying faults4

Clothes come out damp or drying takes too long

Easy

The drying programme ends or runs long, and the clothes are still damp.

Possible causes

  • The tap closed during drying
  • A load bigger than the drying capacity
  • A blocked pump filter
  • A programme unsuited to the fabric
  • The heater or sensor

Solution: Open the tap, reduce the load to the drying capacity, clean the pump filter, and choose the programme by fabric. If clothes are still damp and the machine does not heat, the heater and sensor need testing.

Stopped with water inside (E20)

Easy

The machine cannot drain in the expected time, and may beep twice.

Possible causes

  • The pump filter
  • A drain hose kinked or more than 10 cm into the pipe
  • Excess foam
  • The drain pump

Solution: Unplug the machine, empty the water and clean the filter, and straighten the hose. If it still does not drain, the pump needs checking.

The door will not lock (E40)

Moderate

The programme will not start, and the machine beeps four times or shows E40.

Possible causes

  • Clothes between the seal and glass
  • An overload
  • The child lock
  • The door lock

Solution: Push the door until it clicks after clearing any clothes from the seal, and reduce the load. If the code stays, the lock needs replacing.

An electronic code (E90 to E94)

Needs a technician

The machine stops and the display shows a code in the nineties.

Possible causes

  • A communication problem between the electronic boards
  • A voltage fluctuation

Solution: Unplug it for 30 to 60 seconds and plug it back in. If the code returns, the boards and wiring need a technician.

Habits that improve drying2

A smaller load for drying than for washing

Daily

Find the drying capacity on the label or in the manual and keep to it every time.

Keep the pump filter clean

Monthly

A blocked filter slows draining and drying, so make cleaning it a monthly habit.

Zanussi cooker hoods repair

Book a technician

Zanussi hoods in Egypt include chimney models such as the 90 cm ZHC92462XA rated at 365 m³/h, T-shaped models such as the 60 cm ZHB60460XA, and slim models such as the ZHT911X. Weak extraction usually comes from grease-clogged aluminium filters or a long duct with many bends, not the motor.

Before you book a technician for the hood

Unplug the hood or switch off the breaker before removing the filters. The aluminium filters come out with a small catch, wash in hot water with washing-up liquid, and go back in dry. If the hood recirculates without a duct to the outside, it has a carbon filter, which is replaced, not washed.

The model label is underneath, behind the filter, near the motor. Also note the installation type, ducted outside or recirculating, and the duct length, because these affect extraction more than the motor itself.

Common hood faults4

Weak extraction and cooking smells linger

Easy

The motor runs but steam and smells are not drawn away.

Possible causes

  • Grease-filled aluminium filters
  • A spent carbon filter on recirculation
  • A long, crushed or many-bend duct
  • The backdraft flap in the duct not opening

Solution: Wash the filters and run it at top speed. If the duct is crushed behind a cabinet or very long, re-routing it makes more difference than any part.

Loud noise or vibration

Moderate

A roar or knocking that grows louder at high speed.

Possible causes

  • A filter not seated properly
  • Grease built up on the fan blades
  • Loose fixing screws
  • The motor bearing

Solution: Seat the filters properly and tighten visible screws. If the noise is from the motor itself, the fan and motor need removing and cleaning or replacing.

Grease or water dripping from the hood

Easy

Drops of oil or water on the cooker below the hood.

Possible causes

  • Grease-saturated filters
  • Steam condensing in a cold duct

Solution: Clean the filters, and switch the hood on a little before cooking and leave it running a few minutes after, so all the steam is cleared.

Lights or buttons not working

Easy

One or both lights are off, or a button does not respond.

Possible causes

  • A blown bulb
  • The plug or socket
  • The button panel

Solution: Switch off the power first. If the bulb is replaceable, fit one of the same type and wattage; on LED models such as the ZHC92462XA the light is usually a module replaced by a technician. If everything is dead, check the socket; the button panel is replaced if it fails.

Habits that keep a hood working2

Wash the aluminium filters

Monthly

About once a month, more often if you fry a lot; a clean filter extracts better and protects the motor from grease.

Start it early and run it after cooking

Daily

A few minutes after switching the cooker off, so the duct dries out.

Questions about Zanussi hoods1

Can the filters go in the dishwasher?

It differs from model to model, so check the manual first. Hand washing in hot soapy water is always safe, and a carbon filter is never washed.

Zanussi technologies and how they affect faults

These names appear in model specifications, and not every appliance has all of them.

  • SteamMax and the inverter motor

    Front-loaders such as ZWF8221BL8 and ZWF9221SD7

Steam programmes that reduce creasing, and a brushless permanent-magnet (PMM) inverter motor driven by an electronic board.

    Common faults

This motor rarely fails by itself. When the drum will not turn, the board and wiring are checked first, and voltage swings are a common cause of board damage.

  • Thermocouple flame safety

    TasteMax, CoolMax and SteelMax cookers

If the flame goes out, the gas shuts off automatically. On these models the safety covers both the burners and the oven.

    Common faults

Each burner has its own thermocouple, so if only one burner goes out, that burner's thermocouple is cleaned or replaced without touching the rest of the cooker. Replacing it is technician work, and the safety must never be bypassed.

  • No Frost and Multi Air Flow

ZTB4002SA and ZTB5002SA fridges and ZRT models

A fan spreads cold air through vents in the fridge, and a heater melts ice off the evaporator at intervals. You may hear sizzling or dripping while it defrosts, which is normal.

    Common faults

When defrosting stops, ice blocks the air duct; the symptoms and steps are in the fridge section.

  • AirDry

    ZDF22002XA and ZDF26004XA dishwashers

At the end of the programme the door opens by itself about 10 cm so the dishes dry in the air.

    Common faults

If the door does not open at the end of the programme and dishes come out wet, first make sure the rinse aid has not run out; after that, the technician checks the opener.

The repair steps

Call 16062
  1. Send the label photo and the code

The model and PNC, the code or the number of flashing lights, and exactly when the appliance stops.

  2. An inspection that starts simple

Filters, hoses, voltage and the flame first, then measuring the suspected part.

  3. Know the cost, then decide

The technician tells you the fault, the part that needs replacing and its price, and starts only once you agree.

  4. A trial run and a warranty on paper

We test the appliance in front of you after the repair, and the 6-month written warranty covers the work and the replaced part.

Questions about Zanussi repairs

Is Agent Site Zanussi's customer service?
No. We are a repair company that services this brand and others, and we are not affiliated with Zanussi or Electrolux. If the appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, call the number on the warranty card first, because opening it outside their service network may affect the warranty.
The washer shows E20. Does that mean the pump has failed?
Not necessarily. E20 means draining did not finish in the expected time, and the cause is usually the pump filter or the drain hose. Clean those first, and if the code returns, the pump needs testing.
Are Zanussi, Ideal and Olympic the same company?
All three are Electrolux brands in Egypt, but each has its own models and spare parts. That is why the model and PNC from the label matter more than the brand name when ordering a part.
