Element replacement (top + bottom + convection) with original or compatible parts, depending on the model
Electric Oven Repair
Electric oven repair at home: not heating, breaker tripping, fan or display faults. Written price before work and a 6-month written warranty.
Agent Site is an independent repair center — not the manufacturer's authorized service or warranty provider.

An electric oven heats with elements: a top element for grilling and browning, a bottom element for baking and, on many models, a third element around the convection fan, which spreads the heat so food cooks faster and more evenly. Other key parts are the thermostat, the temperature sensor (NTC), the control board, the cooling fan and the door gasket. Higher-end models add steam, pyrolytic (high-heat) self-cleaning or catalytic self-cleaning liners. The most common jobs are replacing burnt-out elements and thermostats, repairing control boards and changing door gaskets. We work on Bosch, Indesit, Electrolux, Beko, AEG, Miele and other brands. An electric oven carries no gas-leak risk, but it draws a lot of power, so it needs its own circuit with proper earthing.
Signs your Electric Oven needs service
- The oven doesn't heat at all (usually a burnt-out element)
- The oven heats from one side only (top or bottom)
- It takes far too long to reach temperature
- A sudden jump in the electricity bill
- The breaker trips when the oven is switched on
- A burnt-plastic smell
- The display is dark or only partly lit
- The convection fan doesn't turn
- The oven switches itself off after a short time
- Crackling or sparks from an element while it heats up
Common technical faults
Faults we often meet when servicing this type.
- 01
A burnt-out heating element (the most common fault)
- 02
A faulty thermostat that no longer controls the temperature
- 03
A temperature sensor (NTC) giving wrong readings
- 04
A failed convection fan motor
- 05
Internal wiring worn by the heat
- 06
A tripped thermal cut-off
- 07
A faulty control board (on digital models)
- 08
A broken door switch
- 09
A worn rubber door gasket
- 10
A burnt-out oven lamp

Tips to keep your Electric Oven running
- Set the right temperature — going higher than needed wastes electricity for no benefit
- Make sure the oven is properly earthed — that is basic safety for an electric oven
- Clean the oven once it has cooled so stains don't bake on and build up
- Don't put aluminum foil on or against a heating element
- Unplug the oven if you'll be away for a long time
- If your oven has pyrolytic self-cleaning, run it as the manual says — no more often than needed
- Check the door gasket every few months
- If your power supply fluctuates a lot, ask an electrician about protection rated for the oven's load

Electric Oven — frequently asked questions
My electric oven doesn't heat at all — why?
Usually a burnt-out element, a tripped thermal cut-off or the thermostat. A technician tests the element with a multimeter after switching off the breaker — an open-circuit reading means it has burnt out. Don't take the back panel off yourself. The element is replaced with an original or compatible part, depending on the model.
The oven heats from the bottom but not the top — why?
First check the mode: on many ovens the bake setting heats from the bottom only. If the top stays cold on the grill or top-and-bottom setting too, it's likely the top element or the selector switch — a job for a technician.
My electricity bill went up — is the oven the cause?
Possibly. If the thermostat is faulty, the oven keeps heating instead of cutting off on time, so it draws more power. A check will show whether the thermostat is switching off correctly.
The breaker trips when I switch the oven on — why?
Usually an element shorting to the oven body, or worn internal wiring. This is dangerous — don't reset the breaker and switch the oven on again; leave it off until a technician has checked it.
The display isn't working — is the oven broken?
Not necessarily. Switch the oven off at the breaker or plug for 5 minutes, then back on — that sometimes clears a temporary glitch. If the display stays dark, it's usually a control board fault that needs a technician.
Do you install new electric ovens in homes without a gas connection?
Yes — the oven goes on a dedicated circuit with the cable and breaker rating given in the model's manual, plus proper earthing. We check the apartment's wiring before installing.
How long does an electric oven last?
Usually many years, depending on use and maintenance. Elements and gaskets may be replaced more than once over the oven's life, so a single fault doesn't mean the oven is finished.
Do you work on Bosch Serie 8 and Miele?
Yes — we repair premium ovens such as the Bosch Serie 8 and Miele, including pyrolytic and steam models, using specialist test equipment and original or compatible parts depending on the model.
Do you fix pyrolytic cleaning problems?
Yes — if the oven won't enter self-cleaning mode, the cause is usually the door-lock motor or the temperature sensor. If the door stays locked after the oven has cooled, don't force it — call a technician.
