We repair electric towel warmers — the most common type in homes and hotels — and hydronic units connected to central heating: not heating, leaking or a faulty timer. A visit at the earliest available slot and a 6-month written warranty.

Towel Warmers Service with Agent Site

A towel warmer (heated towel rail) keeps towels warm and dry in home, villa and hotel bathrooms and spa centres. The common type in Egypt is electric: plugged in or hard-wired, and either filled with a thermal fluid or dry with a heating cable. If you have central heating, there are also hydronic (hot-water) and dual-fuel models — and we service those too.

We repair heating elements, timers, thermostats and touch controls, and pipe and manifold leaks, and we bleed trapped air from hydronic units. Bent or leaking tubes are assessed and repaired or replaced depending on their condition. New units are installed on an earthed circuit with RCD protection. We work on most imported and local brands, with original or compatible parts depending on the part and model.

Towel Warmers Types We Service

Electric Towel Warmer Repair for Hotels

The electric towel warmer is the best fit for bathrooms without central heating. It is simpler to install than a hydronic unit, but it must be on an earthed circuit with an RCD, away from shower spray, and installed by a technician.

There are two kinds: fluid-filled, where a heating element warms a thermal fluid inside the tubes, and dry, with a heating cable and no fluid. Both have a timer or thermostat, sometimes a touch control. Common faults: a burnt-out heating element, a faulty timer or touch control, or an internal fuse; fluid-filled models can also leak.

Signs it needs service

  • The warmer is not heating
  • Only part of the tubes heats up
  • The touch control does not respond
  • The timer freezes
  • Fluid leaking from a tube (fluid-filled models)
  • The unit switches itself off

Common faults

  1. A burnt-out heating element
  2. A faulty timer or touch control
  3. A failed thermostat
  4. Thermal fluid leaking from a tube
  5. A blown internal fuse

What we do

  • Heating element replacement
  • Timer and touch control replacement
  • Thermal fluid refill (fluid-filled models)
  • Tube leak repair
  • Wiring and earth check

Care tips

  • Make sure the earth and RCD work — press the RCD test button every few months
  • Do not hang soaking-wet towels — they reduce the heat
  • Switch it off at the breaker and let it cool before cleaning it

Questions

It is not heating at all — why?

Usually a burnt-out heating element or a timer that is not set. Check that the breaker is on and the timer is set; our technician tests the element with a multimeter and replaces it if it has failed.

Hydronic Towel Warmer Repair for Hotels

A hydronic towel warmer is connected to the central heating circuit of a villa or hotel and uses hot water (40–60°C) from the system. It is economical to run where the heating is used regularly, but it is less common in Egypt because central heating is rare.

It has stainless steel tubes, inlet and outlet connections, an air vent (bleed valve) and isolation valves, and is connected to the boiler or heating system. Common faults: trapped air in the circuit, leaks from the connections, low pressure, and tubes blocked by sediment.

Signs it needs service

  • The warmer is not heating even though the central heating is running
  • Only part of the tubes heats up (trapped air)
  • Water leaking from the connections
  • A gurgling sound from the circuit
  • The boiler pressure gauge reads low

Common faults

  1. Trapped air inside the tubes (the most common)
  2. Leakage from the inlet or outlet connections
  3. A failed air vent (bleed valve)
  4. Tubes blocked by sediment
  5. Low pressure in the circuit
  6. Failed isolation valves

What we do

  • Bleeding the circuit (removing the air)
  • Connection leak repair
  • Air vent replacement
  • Flushing sediment from the tubes
  • Refilling the circuit and setting the pressure
  • Isolation valve replacement

Care tips

  • Bleed the circuit at the start of every winter
  • Check the boiler pressure gauge monthly
  • Make sure the connections are tight — these circuits are prone to leaks

Questions

The warmer is cold even though the central heating is running?

There is probably air trapped in the circuit — bleeding it solves the problem in many cases. If it stays cold, the pressure may be low or a valve closed; call a technician.

There is a leak from a connection — should I shut the system down?

Yes — close the warmer's isolation valves straight away, then have a technician fix the connection.

Dual-Fuel Towel Warmer Repair for Hotels

A dual-fuel towel warmer combines electric and hydronic heating in one unit: it runs on the central heating in winter and on its electric element when the heating is off.

It has an electric heating element, hydronic connections and a switch to change between the two modes. Faults can come from either side — electrical or hydronic — or from the mode switch itself.

Signs it needs service

  • The electric mode does not work
  • The hydronic mode is not heating
  • The mode switch does not respond
  • A leak on the hydronic side

Common faults

  1. A burnt-out heating element (electric mode)
  2. Trapped air (hydronic mode)
  3. A faulty mode switch
  4. Leakage from the connections

What we do

  • Heating element replacement
  • Bleeding the hydronic side
  • Mode switch replacement
  • Leak repair

Care tips

  • Use electric mode when the central heating is off
  • Use hydronic mode in winter
  • Switch off at the breaker or plug and close the water valves before any servicing

Questions

Is a dual-fuel unit worth it, or a separate electric or hydronic one?

If the villa or hotel has central heating that runs only in winter, dual-fuel is a good choice. If the heating runs all year, or there is none, choose a single type.

  • Have the timer and touch control checked once a year

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between electric and hydronic towel warmers?

Electric: runs on electricity alone and needs no central heating — the common type in Egypt. Hydronic: takes hot water from the central heating circuit of a villa or hotel; it is cheaper to run if the system is already in place, but it needs more complex plumbing.

The towel warmer is not warming the towels — why?

Electric: usually the heating element, timer or thermostat. Hydronic: usually trapped air in the circuit or low pressure. Check that the breaker is on and the timer is set; anything beyond that is technician work.

Do you work on imported towel warmers?

Yes — we work on most imported and local brands. Parts are original or compatible depending on the part and model, and we confirm the timing and price before any work.

Water is leaking from a manifold — should I shut the system down?

Yes — close the towel warmer valves straight away, and if any electrical connection is near the leak, switch it off at the breaker. Then have a technician fix the leak before the water damages the bathroom.

Do you install a new towel warmer in a villa?

Yes — installation covers the electrical connection on an earthed, RCD-protected circuit (electric) or the plumbing (hydronic), level mounting, testing and a 6-month written warranty.

How long does a towel warmer last?

It varies with usage, water quality and maintenance. Hydronic models have no heating element, so they usually last longer; in electric models, the heating element and the timer are the parts most often replaced over time.
