Espresso Machine Repair for Restaurants
Commercial espresso machine repair for cafés, restaurants and hotels. An espresso machine brews at around 9 bar with water at about 93°C, and a normal shot takes roughly 25–30 seconds. We repair La Marzocco (Linea PB, GB5, Linea Mini, KB90, Strada), Nuova Simonelli (Aurelia, Appia), Victoria Arduino (Eagle One, Black Eagle), Faema (E61, E71), Rancilio (Classe 5, 9 and 11), Slayer, Sanremo, ECM, Profitec, Bezzera and Rocket.
A commercial espresso machine is built around the group heads (saturated, semi-saturated or E61) — one to four depending on the machine; a brew boiler, or a heat exchanger on single-boiler machines; a steam boiler for milk (usually around 1–1.5 bar); a rotary or vibration pump; solenoid valves for each group; pressure gauges; a control board or PID for temperature on newer models; the steam wands; and the gaskets and shower screens. The most common faults: group gaskets worn by heavy use, scale in the boilers and heating elements from hard water, failed solenoid valves, clogged shower screens, a weak pump, and a control board or PID damaged by voltage swings.
Signs it needs service
- Espresso comes out with no crema
- Shot time keeps drifting even though the grind and dose are set correctly
- Brew pressure is unstable on the gauge
- The steam wand is weak or the steam comes out wet
- Water leaking from the group head or from under the machine
- The control board or PID does not respond or shows a code
- The pump is unusually loud
- The group runs hotter or colder than usual
Common faults
- Worn group gaskets — one of the most common faults on busy machines
- Scale in the brew and steam boilers from hard water
- Failed 3-way solenoid valves from heavy use
- A boiler heating element burnt out by scale
- Worn shower screens clogged with old coffee
- Worn rotary pump vanes or a burnt-out vibration pump coil
- A control board or PID burnt out by voltage swings
- A failed steam valve cartridge
- Group head passages clogged with coffee oils
- Faulty pressure gauges
What we do
- Group gasket replacement on every group
- Boiler descaling with a dedicated descaler, following the manufacturer's instructions
- 3-way solenoid valve replacement with original or compatible parts
- Heating element replacement for the brew and steam boilers
- Shower screen replacement + backflush cleaning
- Rotary pump repair or replacement (vane replacement)
- Control board or PID replacement and setup
- Steam valve cartridge and steam wand tip replacement
- Deep cleaning of the group head passages
- Pressure gauge replacement and calibration to around 9 bar
Care tips
- Safety: never loosen a valve or open the machine body while it is hot or plugged in — the steam boiler holds pressurised steam and water above 100°C
- Backflush daily with an espresso machine detergent (such as Cafiza) — it clears coffee oils from the group
- Replace group gaskets according to use (sooner in a busy café) instead of waiting for them to leak
- Descale with the descaler the manufacturer specifies, at the intervals in the manual for your water hardness — never with vinegar
- Clean the shower screens daily after backflushing
- Check brew pressure on the gauge from time to time; if it drifts by itself, call a technician
- Clean the steam wand immediately after every use (wipe and purge)
Questions
Why does my espresso have no crema?
Usually because the coffee is stale (crema fades a few weeks after roasting), the grind is too coarse, the tamp is weak, or brew pressure is below about 9 bar. Try fresh coffee and a finer grind first; if the problem stays, the technician measures the pressure.
Do you repair the La Marzocco Linea PB?
Yes — we repair La Marzocco machines (Linea PB, GB5, Linea Mini, KB90) with original or compatible parts depending on the part and model, including saturated groups, pre-brew settings and per-group PID, and older models too.
We have an old Faema E61. Is it worth repairing?
Usually, yes — the E61 group is purely mechanical and its parts are widely available, so repair is economical even on old machines. An old E61 can keep making excellent coffee if it is properly maintained.
Brew pressure swings on the gauge. What is the fix?
Usually the pressure regulator or the pump. The technician measures with a portafilter gauge to tell whether the pump needs servicing or the regulator needs replacing, and confirms the repair time after the inspection.
The PID or control board has failed. Can it be repaired?
Yes on most models — the machine's control board or PID (depending on the brand) usually has spare parts or a compatible replacement, and the technician restores your settings. Give us the machine model when you call.
What makes an espresso machine last longer?
A suitable water filter, descaling on schedule, a daily backflush, and replacing gaskets before they leak. Scale in the boilers and heating elements is what shortens its life most.
Filter Coffee Machine Repair for Restaurants
Commercial filter coffee machine (batch brewer) repair for hotels, restaurants, offices and cafés that serve filter coffee. The machine heats water to around 91–96°C and sprays it over the coffee in a cycle of a few minutes, making large batches. We repair Bunn (VPR, ICB, Axiom), Curtis (G4, ThermoPro, Gold Cup), Fetco, Marco and Moccamaster Commercial.
A filter machine is made up of a stainless boiler and heating element, a spray head that spreads the water over the coffee, a hot-water tap, inlet and brew solenoid valves, a temperature sensor and thermostat, a timer or touch-screen controller, warmer plates for glass decanters, and a water-level sensor. The most common faults: scale on the heating element from hard water, spray-head holes blocked by scale, failed valves, a faulty thermostat or temperature sensor, the controller, and the warmer element.
Signs it needs service
- The brew cycle takes longer than usual
- The coffee comes out weak or bitter
- The spray head does not spread water evenly over the coffee
- The water does not reach brewing temperature
- Water leaking from under the machine
- The hot-water tap delivers very little
- The screen freezes or shows a code
- The warmer does not keep the coffee hot
Common faults
- Scale on the heating element from hard water
- Spray-head holes blocked by scale
- A failed inlet or brew solenoid valve
- A faulty thermostat or temperature sensor (NTC)
- A failed touch screen or controller
- A burnt-out warmer element
- A failed brew timer (on older models)
- An inlet hose degraded by scale
- A failed water-level sensor
- A blocked drip-tray drain
What we do
- Descaling + heating element replacement if it has burnt out
- Cleaning or replacing the spray head
- Inlet and brew solenoid valve replacement
- Thermostat and temperature sensor (NTC) replacement
- Touch screen or controller repair or replacement
- Warmer element and glass decanter replacement
- Brew timer replacement (on mechanical models)
- Replacing a degraded inlet hose
- Water-level sensor replacement
- Installing a water filter ahead of the machine (Pentair Everpure / BWT)
Care tips
- Clean the spray head weekly with a small brush and hot water, with the machine unplugged and cool
- Check the filter basket — replace it if it is cracked
- Use the right filter papers for your machine
- Descale with the descaler the manufacturer specifies, at the intervals in the manual for your water hardness
- Check the brewing temperature from time to time with a thermometer (usually around 91–96°C)
- Clean the drip tray daily and make sure its drain is clear
- Replace the carafe lid seals when they wear
- Log the brew-cycle time — a sudden increase means a fault is starting
Questions
Why is our filter coffee coming out weak?
Usually because the brewing temperature is too low (scale on the heating element), the spray head is not spreading water evenly, or the coffee is ground too coarse. The technician checks the temperature with a thermometer and inspects the spray head before any repair.
Do you repair the Bunn VPR and Curtis G4?
Yes — we repair Bunn (VPR, ICB, Axiom) and Curtis (G4, ThermoPro, Gold Cup) with original or compatible parts depending on the part and model.
The spray head is clogged. Should I clean it myself or call a technician?
If the blockage is light, unplug the machine, let it cool and clean the spray head with a brush and hot water; for scale, use the descaler the manufacturer specifies. If it is badly blocked or keeps blocking quickly, your water filter is probably nearly spent — call 16062.
Our glass decanter broke. Can you replace it?
Yes — give us the machine model and decanter size when you call, and we tell you which decanter or thermal carafe is available and what it costs.
Can hotels arrange regular maintenance for filter machines?
We can agree scheduled visits: descaling, spray-head cleaning, temperature checks and replacing wear parts as needed. Call 16062 for details.
Super-Auto Coffee Machine Repair for Restaurants
Bean-to-cup (super-automatic) coffee machine repair for offices, banks, hotels, hospitals and restaurants without a barista. The machine grinds, tamps, extracts, steams milk and makes a cappuccino at the touch of a button. We repair Eversys (Cameo, Enigma, Shotmaster), Schaerer (Coffee Soul, Coffee Skye, Coffee Art Plus), WMF (1500S+, 5000S+, 9000S+), Jura (GIGA X8, X3, WE8), Saeco and LaCimbali.
A bean-to-cup machine has one or more bean hoppers, a built-in grinder, a brewing unit that tamps the coffee and extracts the shot automatically, a boiler or thermoblock for brewing and steam, a milk system (pump and valves), solenoid valves, a touch screen, a grounds drawer, a water tank or mains water connection, and a control board. The most common faults: the brewing unit wearing with the cup count, scale in the boiler from hard water, the milk pump or valves, the screen or control board, the brewing-unit motor or its encoder, and a coffee spout blocked with oils. The technician reads the error codes and messages on the machine's screen and diagnoses with on-site measurements.
Signs it needs service
- An error code or message on the screen about the brewing unit
- The coffee suddenly tastes bitter
- The milk no longer froths
- Coffee dispenses slowly despite a cleaning cycle
- The screen freezes or restarts on its own
- Beans are not feeding from the hopper to the grinder
- Water leaking from under the machine
- The grounds drawer fills up unusually fast
- The automatic cleaning cycle does not finish
Common faults
- A brewing unit worn by heavy use
- Scale in the boiler and burnt-out heating elements
- A failed milk pump or milk valves
- A burnt-out screen or control board
- A failed brewing-unit motor or encoder
- A coffee spout blocked with old oils
- Worn internal grinder burrs
- A failed water pressure regulator
- A faulty bean-hopper sensor (the machine reports an empty hopper when it is full)
- Burnt-out solenoid valves
What we do
- Brewing-unit rebuild or replacement
- Descaling + heating element replacement
- Milk system repair or replacement
- Screen or control board replacement
- Brewing-unit motor and encoder replacement
- Deep cleaning of the coffee spout and internal tubing
- Internal grinder burr replacement
- Water pressure regulator replacement
- Bean-hopper sensor replacement
- Installing a water filter ahead of the machine, plus a softener if the water is hard
Care tips
- Run the machine's built-in cleaning cycle every day before closing
- If your manual says the brewing unit is user-removable, rinse it weekly in warm water; otherwise rely on the automatic cleaning cycle
- Clean the milk system daily with the cleaner the manufacturer specifies
- If the grounds drawer fills unusually fast, have the brewing unit checked
- Watch the cup counter on the screen — brewing-unit and grinder maintenance goes by cups, not days
- If the taste suddenly changes, have the technician check the grinder
- Use fresh beans (a few weeks from roasting)

We can agree scheduled visits based on cup count: brewing-unit service, descaling, a grinder check and a water filter change. Call 16062 for details.
Coffee Grinder Repair for Restaurants
Commercial coffee grinder repair for cafés and roasteries. The grinder is one of the biggest factors in espresso quality: an excellent machine with a poor grinder still makes poor espresso. We repair on-demand grinders (grinding each dose just before the shot), doser grinders (grinding ahead into a dosing chamber), filter grinders (a coarser grind) and single-dose grinders (grinding one weighed dose at a time) — from Mahlkönig (EK43, K30, E80), Mazzer (Super Jolly, Major, Robur, Kony), Anfim, Ditting, Compak, Fiorenzato, Eureka, Nuova Simonelli and Victoria Arduino (Mythos).
A commercial grinder grinds between a set of burrs. There are two types: (1) flat — two horizontal burrs facing each other, as in the Mazzer Major, Mahlkönig EK43 and Mythos; (2) conical — a cone-shaped burr inside a ring, as in the Mazzer Robur and Mazzer Kony. The parts: the burr set (steel or coated), the grind-adjustment mechanism, the motor, the hopper and its gate, the dosing chamber (on doser models), the control board and display (on on-demand models), and the chute. The most common faults: worn burrs giving an inconsistent grind, a motor that overheats or burns out, a sticking adjustment mechanism, broken doser springs, the control board, and a chute blocked with coffee oils. Depending on their type and condition, burrs can sometimes be re-sharpened and recalibrated instead of replaced.
Signs it needs service
- An inconsistent grind (coarse and fine particles in the same dose)
- The espresso suddenly tastes different
- The burrs heat up quickly after a few doses
- The motor is unusually loud
- Grinding has become slower than usual
- Grind adjustment is stiff or sticks
- Ground coffee escaping beside the burrs
- The display does not respond or shows a code
- A broken doser spring (on doser models)
- A damaged or dirty hopper gate
Common faults
- Worn burrs — one of the most common faults; the telltale sign is an inconsistent grind
- A motor that overheats or has burnt out because of the cooling fan
- A broken dosing-chamber spring
- A faulty adjustment mechanism (worn bolt or threads)
- A failed control board or display (on on-demand models)
- A damaged or oily hopper gate
- A chute blocked with coffee oils
- Worn bearings inside the grinder
- A damaged burr carrier (the part that holds the upper burr)
- A burnt-out motor capacitor (on some models)
What we do
- Burr set replacement (flat or conical) with original or compatible parts — Mahlkönig, Mazzer, Anfim
- Burr re-sharpening and calibration where their condition allows — usually cheaper than replacement; the technician decides after the inspection
- Motor and cooling fan replacement
- Doser spring replacement + a full clean
- Adjustment mechanism repair and thread replacement
- Control board or display replacement
- Hopper gate repair and gasket replacement
- Deep cleaning of the chute
- Bearing replacement and burr calibration
- Burr carrier and adjustment ring replacement
Care tips
- Clean the hopper weekly — old coffee oils affect the burrs
- Use grinder-cleaning tablets (such as Grindz) as the manufacturer directs — they clean without taking the grinder apart
- To clean: unplug the grinder first and brush the burrs and chute with a dry brush — no water; full disassembly and recalibration are for the technician
- Check the burrs from time to time — an inconsistent grind or slower grinding usually means they are worn
- Do not leave beans in the hopper for long — store them in airtight containers
- After any cleaning, check that the grind setting is back where it was
- Log the kilos of coffee ground each month — burr life is measured in kilograms, not days
Questions
How do I know if the burrs need replacing?
The main signs: the grind comes out inconsistent (coarse and fine in the same dose), the espresso suddenly tastes different, grinding has slowed down, and the burrs heat up faster than usual. The technician inspects the burrs and tells you whether to replace or re-sharpen them.
What is the difference between re-sharpening and replacing burrs?
Re-sharpening restores the cutting edges and is followed by calibration; it is not possible for every burr type (it depends on the burr type, coating and wear). Where their condition allows, it is usually cheaper than replacement, and the technician decides after the inspection.
Do you repair the Mahlkönig EK43?
Yes — we repair the Mahlkönig EK43, K30 and E80 with original or compatible parts depending on the part and model. The burr set is replaced according to how much coffee has been ground, and the technician assesses it during the inspection.
Our Mazzer Robur runs very hot. Why?
Usually a failed cooling fan or worn burrs. The Robur (71 mm conical burrs) does not normally heat up quickly, so if it does, something is wrong — the technician checks the fan and the burrs.
The doser spring is broken. Can it be repaired?
Yes — springs for the Mazzer Major and Super Jolly doser models and for Anfim are usually available or have a compatible replacement. If the spring keeps breaking, the doser body itself probably has a problem.
Can we arrange regular maintenance for grinders only?
We can agree scheduled grinder visits: cleaning, burr inspection, calibration, and burr replacement when needed. Call 16062 for details.
How much does a burr set replacement for the Mahlkönig K30 cost?
It depends on the burr type (standard steel or coated). Give us the grinder model when you call 16062, and the technician writes down the price of the part, fitting and calibration before starting; the repair carries a 6-month written warranty.

Why Agent Site?
One Call to 16062
The hotline answers 24 hours a day. Tell us the machine model (La Marzocco GB5? Faema E61? Eversys Cameo?) and the fault, and a technician reaches you at the earliest available slot for your area.
A Coffee Machine Specialist
A technician specialized in commercial coffee machines who understands pressure, temperature and extraction time, and tests the machine after the repair with a test shot at the right pressure and temperature.
Water-Quality Testing
Water hardness varies from area to area, and scale is one of the most common causes of boiler and heating-element faults. The technician measures TDS during the inspection and recommends a suitable BWT, Pentair or Everpure filter for your machine.
Original or Compatible Parts
Gaskets, shower screens, pressure gauges, valves, heating elements, pumps and steam wands — original or compatible depending on the part and model. If a part is not in stock, we tell you when it will be available and what it costs before we continue.
Written 6-Month Warranty
Every repair comes with a formal invoice and a 6-month written warranty on the repair and the replaced part. If the same fault comes back within the warranty period, call us on 16062.
Scheduled Maintenance
Cafés and chains can arrange scheduled maintenance visits: descaling, gasket replacement, backflush cleaning, steam wand cleaning, pressure checks and grinder calibration. Call 16062 for details.
Pricing Transparency
The price is set after inspection
There is no fixed price for a fault before the technician has seen the machine: replacing a gasket is not the same as replacing a heating element or a control board. After the inspection you get the price in writing before work starts, parts are original or compatible depending on the part and model, and you receive a formal invoice after the repair.

- Safety: never open the machine body or loosen any valve while it is hot or plugged in — the boiler holds pressurised steam and water above 100°C, and any work inside the machine is for the technician
- Before you call: check that the water supply is open or the tank is full and the filter is not blocked, and note the pressure gauge reading and any code on the screen
- If shot time or taste has changed, adjust the grind and dose first — if the problem stays, it needs a technician
- For descaling, use the descaler the manufacturer specifies — not vinegar (it harms brass and seals), and not a backflush detergent such as Cafiza (that removes coffee oils, not scale)
- Check water quality with a TDS pen from time to time — a change in the reading means the filter is nearly spent
- Note down the machine brand, model and serial number — it makes finding the right parts easier
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a commercial coffee machine technician?
Call 16062 — the hotline answers 24 hours a day. Give us the machine brand and model (La Marzocco, Nuova Simonelli, Faema or Eversys, for example) and the fault or any code shown, and we book a technician visit at the earliest available slot for your area (visits run 9 AM–9 PM).
My espresso tastes bitter or sour — why?
A bitter taste usually means over-extraction: a grind that is too fine, a temperature that is too high, or a group head dirty with old oils. A sour taste usually means under-extraction: a grind that is too coarse, a low brew temperature or a short shot. Start by adjusting the grind and dose; if the problem stays with the grind set correctly, the technician measures and calibrates the pressure and temperature.
The steam wand has no steam pressure — why?
Usually the steam boiler pressure is low (normally around 1–1.5 bar), the steam wand tip is blocked with milk residue, the steam valve needs a new gasket, or the heating element is scaled up. An inspection pinpoints the cause — and never take the steam valve apart while the machine is hot.
Can we arrange regular maintenance for our café?
We can agree scheduled maintenance visits based on the number of machines and how heavily they are used: descaling, gasket replacement, cleaning, and pressure and grinder calibration. Call 16062 for details.
Do you install a new coffee machine in a new café?
Yes — installation covers the electrical connection to suit the machine (single- or three-phase), the water connection with a filter suited to the site's water, the drain connection, pressure and temperature calibration, and a full test. Call 16062 and we agree the details after a site visit.
Do you test water quality before recommending a filter?
Yes — water hardness varies from area to area, so the technician measures TDS during the inspection and recommends a suitable filter (BWT bestmax, Pentair Everpure or Brita Purity, for example).
